Town: The legends and myths of King Arthur and the Round Table are still potent in the town of Tintagel in North Cornwall â and the cliffs just beyond are dominated by the jagged ruins of King Arthur's Castle. Visitors will love the romance of this beautiful area, with its surfer seas, dramatic cliffs and hidden coves. The town itself is pretty and welcoming, with well-run pubs, restaurants and specialist shops. The South West Coast Path can be followed in both north and south directions, and northwards leads to the charming village of Boscastle after a couple of miles.
