About this property

THE GOAT SHED, pet friendly, with a garden in Robin Hood’s Bay

This attractive property near Robin Hood's Bay is able to sleep three people and provides a perfect base for exploring the region.

This stone-built, semi-detached barn conversion is situated in the rural hamlet of High Normanby, close to the pretty villages of Fylingthorpe and Robin Hood's Bay. Retaining much of its original character, this former goat barn has been loving renovated and now boasts a wealth of exposed timber, flagged floors and a beautiful vaulted ceiling. Decorated and furnished to a very high standard, the property provides light and airy accommodation, perfectly situated for access to the coast. The living space in the cottage consists of a double bedroom, a fitted kitchen with dining area and a lounge with sofa-bed and electric stove. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome.

Amenities: Oil central heating with electric stove. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, WiFi,TV, DVD, radio/CD. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Small gravelled area with garden furniture. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.5 miles, pub 1 mile. Note: This property is situated amongst farm buildings and is opposite a Dutch Barn, but offers views of the field from the side of the property.

Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Town: With its narrow, cobbled streets and quaint cottages, Robin Hood's Bay is one of the most picturesque villages on the English coastline. Located between the thriving towns of Scarborough and Whitby, this charming fishing village is set at the edge of a sweeping bay backed by impressive cliffs and dramatic moorland. All visitors will love the beach and its cliff top walks, whilst more serious climbers can enjoy the many long distance trails that pass through the town such as the Cleveland Way, the Lyke Wake Walk and the Coast to Coast walks. The village amenities are superb and with charming alleyways to explore and plenty of places to rest, this makes a great location all year round.

Lovely stay, cosy cottage
Good location, cosy and quirky. Stopped at the supermatket before arrival then had to revisit because no handsoap (ok the list did say might need to bring) and only 12 squares of loo roll with no spare roll. First time I've ever come across this at any holiday rental - you live and learn. Dropped one star because I see soap and loo roll as essential hygiene.
