Beautiful Lake Shore Setting!

Beautiful lake shore luxury cabin in garden style setting. Some of the best pheasant and deer hunting in the midwest. Great place for family to relax and enjoy all water sports or just unwind. Great midwest hospitality in a rural setting! Our base rate covers up to 6 persons. Can accommodate up to 12 people for an additional fee.

Take time to get back to nature. Bring the whole family. Although we don't allow smoking inside the cabin, you are welcome to enjoy a smoke from the patio or outdoors. Great place for young children to play in a custom playhouse perfect for hours of entertainment. Paddle boats, kayaks, lots of games, fire pit. Everything furnished except food..

Great Getaway

I had a great time relaxing and unwinding on the lake for a week! The rooms were great - super clean and had more than I was asking for - I had a fantastic time reading in the living room and on the porch, and the WiFi was more than enough for work when I needed to hop online for a bit. Will definitely be coming back and staying here if I’m ever in the area again!

Amazing getaway!

We came to watch our son in the SDSU marching band during Hobo Days! This was an amazing place to stay the weekend - the kids were in love with the play house and begged not to leave! Luckily we were are to enjoy the lake side fire pit. Such wonderful time! Thank you to the fantastic hosts!

Great find!

Very clean, well maintained and well organized home! Great home-feel and generously supplied with essentials +.Too busy to simply sit on the lovely patio and enjoy the lake view. Now I understand all the 10/10 ratings. Will have to come again! Thank you!

Perfect location!

We loved this house. Peggy and Rich were wonderful hosts. The house is very nice and comfortable. Well furnished and has everything we could have needed. Quiet neighborhood. We loved being able to use the kayaks. Perfectly clean!!

Peaceful and Quiet

Very Clean and organized, enjoyed our stay, the kids loved all the toys, playhouse, and beach. The older kids enjoyed the paddle boats. We wish the water would have been a little less green but thats the summer we are having. Also all the bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs not on the main floor.

Fun days at the lake!

Beautiful property, really nice place with patio and amenities! There isn’t a complete stove but it’s not hard to plan around it, there’s still a cooktop. Weather didn’t allow us the time we wanted on the lake, and flooding made things a challenge. The lake area was right behind the owner’s house next door, which was different but we enjoyed everything anyway and the owners are wonderful ppl! We had a great time chatting with them!

Second time

renting the same cabin second time, the lake is private, fishing is great, nice shore for kids, paddle boats, kayaks, patio, nice living areas, coffe bar, many beds upstairs, with bunk beds that are fun for kids. but also town is close in case you need something. will be back with friends

Barefoot n Braids

This gang of girl cousins tries to get together every other year. This year was the 50th anniversary of our epic Summer of '74 in Madison. The lake house was perfect for the 6 of us. Peggy is an amazing hostess, so helpful, the house is wonderfully appointed, the patio is perfection. Everyone got their own bed, and having the overflow fridge/freezer was amazing. I would give this house and Peggy 10 stars if they let me. An enthusiastic 2 thumbs up-book this house!

So fun for all ages

I can’t say enough good things about the location and activities available on the property. The kids fish and ride around in the kayaks and paddle boats all day. And if it’s warm enough, they swim. The house has everything we need to sleep and eat and bathe comfortably and Peggy and Richard are gracious hosts. Thanks again for helping us make wonderful summer memories!!

So happy with this property!

This property is perfect! The house is so cute and has so much to do. The outside area is to die for! So many memories mad fishing off the doc, using the kayaks and peddle boats, the floaties, playing corn hole, and most of all sitting around the most perfect fire area. There was so many great things for kids as well. If you are looking for a week getaway or even 3 days it’s perfect! There was 6 young’s adults who went for Memorial Day weekend! The weather wasn’t great but we all want to go again! If you are needing the time with your friends, your family, or your significant other I 10/10 recommend this property. It’s a perfect little getaway from reality!!

Perfect Madison area rental

We had a great stay! The guest home is great and gave us plenty of room the spread out. We loved having use of the lake and the kids play areas on the property. Peggy was wonderfully kind and helpful. We will definitely be staying again!

Wonderful, peaceful and private!

What a wonderful time we had at this VRBO! It was our own private oasis! The playhouse was a massive hit for our kids (ages 4-11), the outdoor swing was amazing and Peggy even has some awesome girls dress up clothes that our kids had a blast with! For the bigger kids we enjoyed countless rounds of bags on really nice boards and a beautiful bonfire. Peggy even came to our rescue with some BBQ sauce when one of the picky eaters needed a little TLC. Everything we could’ve possibly needed was provided- from body wash, shampoo and lotion, to towels, linens, and everything for the lake. We took some spins in the paddle boats and the kayak, used the numerous life jackets and adored the floaties! We can’t wait to visit again!

Another wonderful stay

We had another wonderful stay here! Peggy and her husband are so welcoming and helpful. Wonderful hosts! You’ll have everything you need, plenty of pillows, towels, blankets etc. It was hot but the A/C units kept us cool! Kids had fun fishing, building sand castles, swimming and kayaking. Thank you for having us!
