Located in the heart of the Gruene historic district, The Casitas at Gruene are perfect for small groups, couples, wedding parties, girls' weekends and more. Each uniquely themed casita includes private access to the Guadalupe river down a short paved path .

The Casitas are a five-minute leisurely walk from Gruene Hall and other live music venues, plus endless shopping and dining options! We are located less than an hour from five of Trip Advisor's Best Vacation Spots in Texas, making the Casitas the perfect place to stay on your next trip!

Each Casita features one bedroom, a private bathroom, a living room with a sofa bed, and a kitchenette. When you're done kicking up your heels at Gruene Hall, browsing boutiques, or floating the Guadalupe, come back to your Casita to unwind in complete comfort. All Casitas have access to a private riverfront area with a charcoal grill, fire pit, and beautiful patio areas.

The Casitas are owned and operated by longtime residents of New Braunfels. Every detail was hand-picked, from floor to ceiling, to create the most luxurious accommodations in Gruene. In Town for a Wedding

This place was Great. It was very clean and had all we needed to feel at home. The walk to the river was beautiful, I wish it was summer but nevertheless it was so very nice. Restaurants and downtown shopping are a rock throw away and a must to visit Gruene Historical District. We had a fabulous time, thank you Romantic Casita for hosting us. Great stay in Gruene

Excellent communication from owner. Everything in Gruene (coffee, shopping, drinks, restaurants) are in walking distance (either direction) from the location. Everything was as advertised, very clean, and they went over the top for our anniversary with rose petals & a bottle of champagne. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and cozy casita!

We had the best time and this is our new favorite spot! It was a beautiful and cozy casita that was walking distance to all of our favorite spots! We will absolutely be back!

Perfect Location

We stayed here during the Christmas Market and Gruene’s Christmas lighting ceremony. The location allowed us to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The casita is quaint and well furnished. Great path down to the river with plenty of water toys waiting to be used. Cold and rainy during our visit but would love to come back during the summer.

Just Perfect

The location is a very short walk to shopping, Gruene Hall, The Gristmill and the Gruene Mansion. The private river access is awesome and also the perfect place to sit and enjoy a morning coffee or a picnic lunch. The Casita looked like brand new inside and out and the entire property looked like something out of a magazine.

Everything we hoped and more!

My wife and I had a great experience for our 15th anniversary. We stayed in Casita 3 which is standalone from the other Casitas. We parked the car and were able to walk everywhere for the duration of our weekend. Downtown Gruene is a 2 minute walk away and we found a great coffee shop (Kora Kora) about 5 minutes in the other direction. There's live music across the street and though we could hear it faintly, our white noise maker drowned it out. We didnt expect to have access to kayaks but those were available to us. The river spot really was beautiful. Though the room and livong room are cozy, there was a closet to store bags out of the way which made it feel more spacious. Definitely a place we would come back.

Birthday getaway

This place is conveniently located to all the local hotspots. We were able to walk to all of them. Our neighbors rented a golf cart, so that is also an option. The river access was the best compared to the other places along that stretch of the river. The casita was clean and cozy as well. When we come back, this is the place we would choose again!

Great Gruene Weekend

This property has everything you need to have a great stay in Gruene. River access, and close proximity to all the restaurants and shops. Don't pass this one up, book it!

Such a cute property! Perfect location for all the local fun, as well as hanging out by the river. 😍 The ramp treck down and up gave us a heck of a work out, but the serene river location and adorable local wildlife made it so worth it! Thanks y'all!

Amazing experience

Birthday trip!

My friend and I stayed at the Casitas at Gruene for my 61st birthday trip! The location was wonderful! We floated the river one day, but decided to enjoy the beautiful river access that the Casitas offer the rest of the time. Just follow the winding path down to the oasis that awaits you on the river's edge! The whole set-up was perfect, complete with bbq pits, fire pits, beach chairs, floats, kayaks and so much more! Each Casita has its own wagon to help you transport all your belingings down to the water, so you can enjoy your stress free day! The Casitas at Gruene are just a short walk from downtown Gruene and close to several yummy restaurants. We had a great stay and can't wait to come back!!!

Overall great place, walking distance to Gruene Hall and short walk to the river. Very quiet and clean. The bed mattress was really soft for us and could have had more lighting in the bedroom as well as some counter space in the bathroom. Loved the location and overall quality of the room!
