Really enjoyed this house. Stayed one night as we were leaving on a cruise. Very clean, everything we needed was available. The cookies left was an added bonus that my daughter loved! This will be our new go to place to stay when visiting Galveston for short or long stays.
We arrived, and everything was just as Diane described. Beautiful home, quiet neighborhood. Had a garage, which was really nice. Home was close to everywhere we wanted to go. We will definitely stay again when we are in Galveston.
It was the perfect house for us. Centrally located to food...stores...and museums. We took an extra day and enjoyed the town before we heade out on the cruise. The property was just the right size for 4 of us.

Appreciated that they left cookies and water for us in the cottage. Had everything we needed. Stocked with must haves for basic living. Loved the comfortable bed and ceiling fan was appreciated! Not too far from the beach and short Uber to cruise terminal. Enjoyed our stay and will be back at the end of the cruise.
The Cottage is a lovely little property adjacent to the Bryan museum. It's a great location within a short walk of the seawall to the south and Broadway to the north. The host is very responsive and accomodating and the property is great. Two comfy bedrooms upstairs, a very pleasant living room in front and a well equipped kitchen. There's a small but adequate enclosed back patio space for smokers or for pets to stretch their legs. Everything worked perfectly and was well marked. It's a quick drive to downtown venues and walkable to the beach.
It felt not so much like a VRBO and more like staying at a friend's house for a few days. We would definitely go back.
Two minor cautions. The street in front is pretty busy during the morning and evening so if you're real sensitive to traffic sounds, this might be a concern. Very quiet at night though. Also, the stairs to upstairs are a little on the steep side. They are very sturdy and there is a strong railing, so not a problem for us or most folks, but it might be a concern if you have someone with mobility issues.
We enjoyed our stay at The Cottage; all of the information was sent to me a couple of days before so it was very easy to get into the house. It was very clean, there were cookies waiting for us 🍪 and cold bottled water in the fridge. Everything you might need was available, even chairs, towels and water toys, games, and toys. It’s a great place to stay in the great city of Galveston!
My husband and I love Galveston. We live in the Houston area now to be close to grandchildren.
