This home was exceptionally clean and visitor friendly There were basic supplies available for use in the kitchen. We loved our stay in the cottage in the woods. Exactly as described.
The property was exactly as it looked in the pictures and fully stocked with everything you could have possibly forgotten. A lot of rental houses feel like staying in a showroom, but Pixies Paradise was like staying at a friend's place.
I have never stayed in a cabin or motel that was furnished with supplies as much as this cabin. Everything you may need was there and available. Things for every occasion
imaginable. Want to go back. Also a notebook with all information, instructions and suggestions regarding the cabin, the TV, restaurants, things to do, and places to go. Also health information regaring Covid.
Nestled in a stunning wooded area Pixie’s Paradise was perfect! We absolutely loved sipping our morning coffee on the porch in the rocking chairs and listening to the birds and the stream. Everything you could want or need was provided — thank goodness because we forgot our hair dryer! We wanted a relaxing place to stay while we visited colleges in the area and explored activities nearby and this property did not disappoint! We want to go back as soon as possible!
Everything was perfect! Location, cleanliness, communication and easy. We were in town for a car show and this house was exactly what we needed. It really is a “just bring your toothbrush” property. I’ll be back next year, for sure!
If you want a clean, comfortable country cottage with end of the road privacy and quiet, but still be just 15 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Hiawassee and Lake Chatuge, this is the place for you. The house had everything we needed and nothing we didn't. The next door neighbor was home the entire time but never made so much as a peep. Being so remote, it was comforting to know somebody was nearby just in case. We would definitely go back to Pixie's Paradise.
This was an opportunity for one of my best friends and I to get together for a weekend. He lives in North Carolina and I live in Alabama, so this is the perfect in between spot. We love the location and how close it was to some fun, antiquing, hiking, small towns. Would love to come back.
My wife and I were looking to “unplug” for the weekend and Pixie’s Paradise truly provided that opportunity in every way. We would like to thank Shella for being such a gracious host, and we look forward to coming back in the future!

Peaceful, well stocked getaway. The cottage is nestled on a lovely forested lot w/a babbling stream just a few steps away. The lg rocking chair front porch was our favorite place to hang out. 5 miles from Hiawassee w/plenty of places to eat & shop. Hamilton gardens & Bell Mtn are a must see. Lake Chatuge is gorgeous. Looking forward to returning to Pixie's Paradise.
Enjoyed the stay. Had fun finding all of the little scenes and insects painted around the house. Loved the the interior color (yellow) so bright and cheery. We didn’t get to spend much time there, but when we were there it was very quiet and peaceful. Would recommend to anyone.
We came for the fair, a concert and to see the gorgeous leaves. Nothing disappointed us. We loved the location of this little jewel. It was fun to find all the pixies in the house and property. We got lucky and saw deer walking through everyday. Everything with the house was great and has been saved as one of our favorites for future visits. Thank you for sharing your corner of the woods!!!
Pixies paradise was beautiful. The house was super clean and the beds were comfy. The location was quiet but at the same time close to the lake and hiking. We especially enjoyed the extra touches that made it feel like home especially when the pier went out there was a working flashlight and candles (and matches)
The house was well stocked with supplies that we needed. There was even laundry soap and plenty of towels. The location was great to Hiawassee and local hiking which is why we were in Georgia. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch at night watching the fireflies. Communication with Shella was always prompt. I don't like to leave a bad review but we were very disappointed in the overall cleanliness of the house. The floors, we could tell that they weren't mopped or wiped down and the stove top and microwave were greasy and splattered with spaghetti sauce and the kitchen in general was not very clean. The bathrooms were clean except for a used flosser on the floor in one bathroom. I contacted the owner and she replied pretty quickly that she'd let her cleaning person know. I understand things get missed sometimes but the most important issue for me was that I needed a house that did NOT allow pets at all. I was assured that pets were not allowed here but there was a mat on the kitchen floor in the shape of a dog that said, "My dog's mat". If pets are not allowed, why the mat? For the reasons mentioned above I can not review the house with more than three stars.
Perfect home for my family and I. Very quiet location, difficult to find using our GPS on the first night we arrived (the rain didn't help). Beds were very comfortable, house was well equipped (sheets, towels, kitchen, etc.). Taking our kitchen trash with us when we left was a new experience. We departed early on a holiday morning so don't think the landfill was even open; it came back to Florida with us, not really a big deal. Overall a great place for a quiet getaway.
Stayed here to visit family that lives close by in Clayton, GA. Beautiful scenery, quiet, clean, small town charm and a clean, comfy place. We enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend.

Why they chose this property
If you want to unplug and just get away this is the perfect paradise. Peaceful and quiet, comfortable and cozy. Only 10 miles from the town of Hiawassee. You can get to North Carolina in less than 30 minutes and 2 other states in less than a few hours. Wonderful for home base and just relaxing.
What makes this property unique
Pixie's Paradise lifts the soul and breathes clean air for that feeling of well being. Rocking on the porch and listening to the babbling creek is as peaceful as it gets. Time to make a toast and kick back awhile. Welcome to my home.
