Perfect Family Getaway
Our family of four had a four night stay and the chalet was perfect! It's charming and cozy, beds are comfy and it really had everything we needed. We loved how close we were to the hiking trails and town. It was really a perfect getaway location and we hope to come back soon!

Cozy Mountain Chalet
Perfect for a peace and quiet, breathing in the mountain air, and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay very much. We loved the deck, gas grill and fireplace. I recommend this vacation rental for parties of 4, maybe 5 people, but I feel 8 would be very tight. If we return, we would stay again.

Mountain Escape
The place looks just like expected from the listing. Very well appointed with everything you need. Cozy, even for summer, and surely for winter. Easy location in and out to Whitefish, Glacier and surrounding area. The private beach on Whitefish lake is a fantastic perk. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying at this place. Although the neighbors were loud at night we especially enjoyed access to the pool and lakefront. Everything in the house was clean and communication was great with the hosts!

INCREDIBLE STAY!!!!!
My friends and i stayed here for a long weekend and it was absolutely perfect! Carrie the host was responsive and gave very detailed instructions for everything. Being nestled right into the trees gave amazing shade with awesome views from the back patio. The inside was so updated, cozy and made you feel at home. Location was close to downtown and close to Whitefish lake with plenty to do inside as well. Would recommend to anyone visiting Whitefish. Thank you so much!

Disappointed and Inconvenienced
We were deeply disappointed with our stay due to significant communication issues. The directions provided were unclear, and the “Keys to Your Stay” email lacked crucial details about entering the property. Upon arrival, we discovered we didn’t have the correct access information and were unable to enter. We tried reaching out to the host multiple times and even contacted VRBO for support, but no one responded until the evening of the following day. This was incredibly inconvenient, especially since we had traveled four hours with our 5-month-old baby. This was not the experience we expected after paying a premium for this property. The lack of timely communication and support turned what should have been a relaxing getaway into a frustrating ordeal. We cannot recommend this property to others based on our experience.

Great Condo!
This is a great condo. We were very happy with our stay. In the picture it shows the back living area on the bottom floor to be very inviting and clean. The yellow cushions are actually quite worn, dirty and with mildew spots on them and are stacked in a pile. That would be a quick fix by the property owner, which I suggest doing. The stairs are steep, and would not be suitable for anybody with mobility issues. Otherwise, it was a great stay. Kitchen is well appointed. It was great having a washer and dryer. If you would like access to the swimming pool, or other common area, be sure and get an updated code with the on-site manager during office hours. We neglected that, even though it was described in the welcome email, and ended up not being able to visit on our last night.

Terrible experience
My family stayed here for our wedding, there's a bee nest in the door way of the upper level patio. My mom got stung in the face after sitting outside for a few minutes. Her face swelled up and it was 2 days before our wedding photos. We tried contacting the host multiple times to get the problem fixed and no one answered. We saw the previous guests had the exact same issue. Someone was stung from this bee's nest, they couldn't use the outdoor area, tried multiple times to contact someone and received no response. We contacted vrbo for a refund for this stay and their policy is that it's up to the host if they want to give a refund. My mom was understandably embarrassed and didn't want to be in any photos. And what if someone had an anaphylaxis reaction to a sting? The host still can keep being negligent and ignoring the issue while collecting money? Would not recommend staying here.

Glacier vacation
This property is in a great location on the north side of Whitefish along the route up to Whitefish Mt ski resort and overlooking Whitefish lake, however you can't really see it through all of the trees. It sits in a condo neighborhood set in the pines. The condo itself has been recently updated. It was very beautiful and comfortable. It is really a two bedroom and the max comfortable occupancy should be considered 4. The clubhouse hot tub and facilities were fine. The condo had many great books about the local area and what to do. The downside? There is absolutely NO LOCAL SUPPORT. There was a very active bee's nest right outside the sliding door to the deck. When I called the 3 phone numbers provided they all went to a woman named Ria in Raduim Hot Springs, British Columbus, Canada. She had no idea how to help, saying, "I'm in Canada", and suggested contacting the condo association office where we were staying. I did and was told that the owners of my condo did not contract with them, sorry. We bought our own bug spray and tried to solve the issue so that we could use the deck which was marginally successful. Other issues included upon arrival a dryer full of wet towels. A full dishwasher. Upstairs tub faucet that runs, not drips, constantly. Not big deals, but it is sort of upsetting to find that you are 2000 miles from home in a unit where anything could happen and you'd simply be out of luck. The "Coldwater Creek Team" appears to be a corporate Mirage. Good luck if you stay. It's really is a great place. Glacier is awesome!

Convenient to Whitefish
The property management is sweet and easy to work with. I have no real complaints except that it was a bit older and smaller than I expected based on the photos. There is also no place to unpack our luggage, which is kind of a bummer for a week long trip. This place feels better suited for a weekend stay.

Beautiful place
Very nice place! Clean! Great amenities. Thankful for washer and dryer. I would just recommend saying it is located up the mountain out of town of whitefish and that the pools and beach access are not necessarily close to your lodge. Also it says sleeps 6 to 8. We had six total and two were small children and it was a tight fit and water heater ran out after 2 quick showers. Small recommendations otherwise beautiful place!

My wife and I first came to Whitefish during the winter of 2012, just after New Year’s, for a ski week as we had heard that Whitefish Mountain Resort receives epic snowfalls and the ski conditions are typically pretty awesome. Well we were not disappointed; we fell in love with the area! So much so much that we decided to buy a place within the year and wanted to share it with other families and groups so that they too could experience this unique area.

Why they chose this property

The chalet we fell in love with seems to be just dropped, "in the tree tops", as it is surrounded but old growth cedar, fir and birch trees. The forest smells are so wonderful all year round and the wildlife and birds that just seems to meander or flutter through our yard is a treat for the kids and adults alike. Our chalet is located only a 2 minute walk from most of the resorts amenities (Hot tub, salt water indoor pool, sauna, tennis courts and playground), is only a 10 or so minute drive to the lifts at Whitefish Mountain Resort and is only about a 15 minute drive to downtown Whitefish, making the chalet pretty central to all the adventure and activity.

With typically over 300 inches (762 centimetres) per year of fluffy champagne powder and average day time temperatures around 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 Celsius) the Whitefish area is the perfect getaway as we both found. The town itself is so quaint and vibrant. The locals decorate the town over the Christmas and New Year’s season, with evergreen garland strung around the verandas on the store fronts and from one side of the street to the other, which make it quite magical over the Christmas season. There are over three full blocks of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants in Whitefish’s downtown and the surrounding mountain sides with their abundance of hiking trails, mountain biking, fishing, the plethora of inexpensive championship golf courses, all made each day an adventure for us. And the locals!..the locals were so welcoming, engaging and thankful that we had come for a visit. Well we loved the area and atmosphere

What makes this property unique

Our family has had so many incredible year round memories, vacationing in the Whitefish Lake, Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park area that assisting other families to experience the same fun and adventure has become a passion of ours as has providing these same families with charming, comfortable and exceptionally clean vacation home rentals to enjoy while you're on vacation at Stillwater Chalet.

The location of our Stillwater Chalet is definitely a highlight as it seems that the chalet has just been “dropped down amidst a forest of old growth cedar and fir trees". You do enjoy some outstanding views of the surrounding Whitefish Mountainside from the chalet and Whitefish Lake and the Flathead Valley from the from many views points throughout our 52 acre Whitefish Mountain resort.

Elmer’s pond is located right across from our chalet so trying your fly fishing or casting skills is a favorite pastime of our family and I know it will be of your family’s too. (Children 12 and under can keep their catch but teens and adults must catch and release).

Another highlight of our chalet is; you and your families have miles and miles of hiking trails, literally right outside our door throughout the 52 acre resort and beyond. Being only a short drive to Whitefish Lake Beach or our own private beach and picnic area is pretty attractive as well. Our new chalet is sure to become a family vacation rental favorite for your family, year after year, as it has become for our family.
