Good location. Great house. Short walk to the beach. Great view of the lagoon. Plenty of room. Ice maker to the fridge didn’t work but if I had reported it I am sure the owner would have fixed it. That is the only negative thing I can say about our stay. FYI the pillows were awesome as well as the beds

Thanks for making our visit a memorable one. The house was beautifully decorated and very clean. Location to the beach was excellent and having a very private sandy area for the children was outstanding. Overall, we had a wonderful time!

Everything are good, only problem with the AC

I would like to thanks to the home owner for letting us stayed at your home. The house is nice, cleaning good, the location is perfect..... we enjoyed it so much. However, if the Ac runing well, we would have a perfect vacation ever.... I want to book it again for next year, but i am concern about the Ac.

This Place beat staying on the beach!

This was a perfect place for an extended family get together. It slept 5 adult couples and five children comfortably and the beach backyard, dock and lagoon were perfect for kids to play while the parents can relax stress free. We only went to beach(which was only 2 min walk) once, mainly out of obligation. Also, I read some bad reviews about Southern Mgmt Team, but I only have good things to say about them. They were very responsive and accommodating.

Fabulous Family Find!

Sol Mates was a perfect find for our family! Our crew of 12 absolutely loved the location, the house, the private beach, the dock, and the gulf a short walk away! The October weather was just gorgeous, and the sunsets were spectacular! We loved all the bedrooms with bathrooms, the two laundries, plus all the great common spaces! The main floor with the porch was perfect for sharing time together, big family meals, games, and a couple of favorite college football games! The little beach was a wonderful space for the kids to play and build sand castles and for the whole family to gather at night! Bring your fire stove and extra chairs! We did, so we didn’t miss s’mores, singing, dancing, and games ‘round the fires! Don’t forget to bring your rods ‘n reels, cast nets, and crab nets, too! The dock was another favorite spot! Fishing was a blast! Of course, the nearby beach and gulf waters were a beautiful bonus for boogie boards and more fun in the sun! For us, another fabulous fall break filled with memories is in the books! Our crew loved this place, and we highly recommend it! Nollene

Great stay for multi-generational family!

7 adults/4ch ages 1-13//We were pleasantly surprised at size & depth of lagoon. Paddle Board & Kayak rental from Ike's worked out GREAT! Shallow depth allowed kids to swim without worry, sandy backyard was an amazing alternative to walking to gulf beach, fishing from dock right at our fingertips was a fun way to pass time (buy a license)! Short 5-7 min walk to gulf beach, unless you have toddlers :) //awkward walking around the row of homes but def not a deal breaker. We enjoyed the lagoon, beach & intercoastal nearby via Hudson's boat rental. Was a suitable house size w nice furniture--big house, lots of walking & steps but lacks proper gathering areas suitable to larger groups of 8 or better people. Seemed geared for 4-5 people instead. Knowing the layout of the home better would've allowed for better organization. Rental management was less than helpful with details, even getting some completely inaccurate. We were told 3 BR on 2nd level, 3 on 3rd level--which clearly is wrong per photos. FYI-2 BR on 2nd level/4 BR on 3rd level. Some BRs had a new A/C window unit to assist w A/C--we stayed cool! Each BR has its own bath, some showers, some tubs, but is not deciphered in description. We requested a 1 hour later checkout, was told NO because we "should've requested this BEFORE renting", however when requested again closer to rental time, were told NO because cleaning crew needed ample time to clean after, we understood---however there was no one renting after us for 2 weeks. Very disappointed in being less than accommodating for one hour -- But, we will give kudos on the overall cleanliness AND when we showed up half hour early upon check in, we were allowed in because the rental management just happened to be on site upon arrival. That was nice. We brought ALL cleaning products, soaps, detergents, paper products, inc. TP--(one was supplied in each bath + a small soap bar). FYI-flat cooking pans are absolutely inadequate, very dated, used--we would suggest bringing your own unless they will be replaced! There are plenty of plates, cups, utensils. BBQ Pit needs work! Burners are out in back area and grate cleaner is very worn out to scrape grates clean. Bought several bags of ice because the ice maker is unable to keep up with a large grp demand (understandable) beginning the very first day. Having TWO W/D units was SUPER helpful but we didn't read this in the description, luckily we brought two laundry soaps. Overall stay = 4 stars ****!

Beautiful place for thanksgiving

We happened upon this place by accident but I think we may be staying here every thanksgiving. We normally stay on the gulf side but our reservations were cancelled a few months ago after the property sold. I found this place on the bay side and thought we should try it. We all fell in love. My granddaughter was able to play in the sand and water with us sitting in our beach chairs watching. My son-in-law brought kayaks and paddle boards and we were able to use those several days. My son brought fishing poles and he, my husband and granddaughter enjoyed fishing. The house was well furnished in the bathrooms and kitchen. This was exactly what we needed and wanted. The extra refrigerator was a welcomed addition, as was the two separate HVAC units. One for upstairs and one for downstairs. And, the washer/dryer both upstairs and downstairs. A lot of great planning went into this place allowing larger groups to stay comfortably. I can’t brag about this place enough. We will definitely return. We have been sold on the bay side.

Nice home AC sucks

We enjoyed the location of the home and the home itself. The AC in this house is awful!!! The coolest the home got was 77 the whole week. The temperature was 84 inside the house at multiple times. We called and they sent a AC person out who told us the unit wasn’t big enough for this house. We had to go buy fans for every room just so we could get some sleep. Also the refrigerator didn’t cool the best. Other than that we enjoyed our vacation.

Quick Trip

The property is beautiful and we enjoyed it. Very clean, well maintained and in a great area. The pictures in the listing are accurate. A few comments...the VRBO promotion of the average nightly rate is accurate UNTIL the extra fees, travel and damage insurance and cleaning fees are added into the total. Second, this is not a home for people with trouble getting up and down stairs. We made it fine but it was a challenge for one in our party. Third, Southern Rentals did a great job (Andrea) so I'm not sure why the negative comments on some reviews. The air conditioner worked great and we were glad to see the dock built back after the hurricane last year. I would recommend this house anytime ! Just know to look at the overall total cost (which I did but it's still different from the advertised nightly cost)

Great property, dock in picture not there any more

The house was great, clean and had everything we needed. We assumed the pier was still there as we were not told it had been gone since September so we had planned to fish and do other things on the pier. The kids were very disappointed.

Amazing House

The house is everything a large group could ask for. Bedrooms are all about the same size and sleeping arrangements are easily made. Staying on the lagoon side is much better than staying on the beach but it is still only a 2 minute walk to the beach. Only complaint we had is that the AC could not keep up and it was fairly warm throughout the day and night.
