Great relaxing weekend but just needs a few things.
I had just a few goals when looking for a cabin. First, it needed to look like a cabin, second, it needed to be off the main road and at least a little secluded, and third, I did not want it right next to another cabin. This place almost met all of those. It was definitely an amazing cabin. It was beautiful and takes your breath away when you walk in the front door. Don't let the look from the front fool you. The layout was perfect for the 4 of us. Very open floor plan and plenty of room. It undoubtedly has the cabin feel with all the modern requirements. There are only a few things that need a little work. First, bring your own coffee filters. I know that's a small thing to most, but not to me. We brought out own coffee but figured there would be filters. Wound up using paper towels. Second, my GF and I are pretty smart but neither one of us could figure out how to turn on the shower in the master. Need to post some directions there. Finally figured it out the last morning. My second requirement was it needed to be secluded. The view out the front was amazing. The view out the back....not so much. We had a great view of the back of the shopping center. Constant traffic noise and on Saturday night it was loud music till late coming from the bars.
Overall, I would give the cabin a 9 and the location a 6. If you just need a place to sleep, it's perfect, but if you want to spend time on the back deck, like I did, look for another place.
Great quick weekend getaway for a ladies weekend. House was super cute, easy to get to, clean and cozy. Would definitely recommend to others.
A few recommendations would be to add a dresser and a full length mirror to the bedrooms, since there is limited area to get ready in the bathrooms. Also, there is no switch on the fireplace, as described in the book, so clearer directions on that would be helpful.
Definitely had a fabulous time and loved our stay!
