Our family had a terrific time at this place! It had everything for a perfect vacation! They provided two kayaks, and with the canoe we brought we could all go out on the water together and enjoy watching the loons and paddle all around the lake. It is just beautiful at this location. We watched eagles soar above us from the deck and watched the full moon rise there as well. We ate almost every meal out on that beautiful deck. The lake was great for fishing as well.
The kitchen was supplied with every thing we needed to cook many of our own meals. They also supplied us with an abundance of paper goods, soaps, hand sanitizer, and more. The layout of the house worked well for us and there were plenty of big screened televisions for everybody to watch whatever they wanted.
We also loved being so close (1/2 hour ride) to the beach and all the attractions along route one. We could spend the day eating lobster rolls, antiquing and walking the beach and return at night to that Beautiful spot on the lake.
We enjoyed every bit of our family vacation here and would highly recommend it!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home on Mousam Lake. It was our first visit there and we have fallen in love! The home is cozy, immaculate and welcoming. The deck is immediately off the kitchen, through sliding glass doors, which allow you to enjoy a mesmerizing view of the lake from sunrise to sunset. This also makes it very convenient to enjoy coffee or dinner on the deck with very little stress. I was impressed by the respect of boats and jet-skis observing the no-wake zone of the properties which means the noise pollution was near zero and swimming was not a challenge when boats passed through. The neighbors were friendly and respectful. Despite feeling like a true "escape" we found plenty of civilization within a very short ride whether it be take out or a little trinket shopping! Happily recommend ~ unless you want the next week we want to rent and then we will have to fight you for it!!
We had a great stay at the lake house.
My grandchildren had a great time fishing and kayaking right from the dock.
We utilized the many boxes of games that were there for entertainment.
The house is equipped with pretty much everything you need to make your stay more enjoyable.
I loved sitting on the deck first thing in the morning and watching the water, it was relaxing.
The only disappointment was there was not a fire pit to make s’mores .
All in all a great place to stay

Adequate but not great
There was no sandy beach, railing to the water was not safe. It would have been better if the kitchen table was rectangular and able to seat 6 or more as we needed to use it for a game table too. Not enough light in the kitchen and great room. Thank heaven for the air conditioners. Needs towel racks in bath.
Had a fantastic time here. It’s definitely cozy with 5 adults, but the deck has an amazing view and the water access was so easy and convenient. We kayaked and floated around the lake almost everyday. Challenging hiking trails worth the drive nearby. It did get pretty hot when we visited so we were very happy to have the window ac units in each of the bedrooms. They worked very well and kept everyone happy. The fridge could use some maintenance/updating as it didn’t keep our food completely frozen but all in all we had a great time grilling out at night and had many peaceful mornings with coffee on the deck. Would stay again.
Enjoyed the location directly on the water for kayaking, and paddle boarding (rented through Michaud marine)! Lots of time exploring the islands for blueberries, and fishing.
The house was very well supplied for our needs.
Thank you!
Cozy for sure but all was comfortable. Had everything we needed for cooking. Things were in good condition. Comfy beds. Owner was outstanding to work with. Very responsive. Lake was great for swimming and fishing.
