Stayed for 4 days to relax and unwind. Very secluded home that gave us plenty of privacy. Close to all attractions. Will stay again and recommend to others.
Very close to town, but the perfect amount of privacy and seclusion. Beautiful property with a walking trial. Would recommend no small cars due to the driveway leading to the house. Nice parking. The house was very clean and basic necessities were provided. Great communication with host, and checkin was easy. Perfect for a quiet getaway!
BearPaw Cabin is such a wonderful, cozy, and comfortable space. The perfect place for a stay in the mountains. Just a few minutes from Dillard, yet secluded with great views and inviting grounds. Extremely clean and thoughtfully decorated. Our hosts were quick to respond to questions, friendly, and accommodating. Thank you to the Conners for helping us with the gift of wonderful memories both past and present! We will definitely be back!
We very much enjoyed our stay at the BearPaw cabin. Cabin is located just a short distance off US 441 and convenient to Dillard and Clayton. Everything met our expectations with a comfortable bed, relaxing den and a screened porch that we enjoyed. We will return.
We only stayed one night, but would love to come back again. The property was private and cozy and exactly what we needed. Very convenient location to hiking. Thank you for hosting us!
I took my daughter and grandson to this cabin for a fall getaway. It was perfect and so roomy. It is close to HIghlands and Franklin, NC. We enjoyed the swing on the screened in porch. The cabin is pet friendly too! This was our second stay here and will stay here again.
If you love nature sounds, quiet solitude & freedom from stress, this is your ideal retreat!
Stacey & Steve were so kind & accomodating to our requests.
The cabin is comfy & rustic, with a very homey feel.
We loved knowing a little history about it, as we admired the craftmanshhip of the grandfather who built it.
It truly is a comfortable, secure and calming get-away!
It was perfect for resting between a number of wedding activities.
We will likely return!

About the host
Hosted by Stacy Conner McConnell
The cabin is located on land that has been in our family, the Conner’s, for almost 100 years. My father and I own and manage the cabin. He built the cabin and laid the rock fireplace himself. It is a very special place that my family loves and cherishes and we think you will feel the same.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is made up of all our family, cousins, uncles, and aunts so we have great neighbors but you won’t be able to see them from the secluded cabin.
What makes this property unique
I believe the solitude and seclusion are what I like most about the cabin. You feel deep within the woods and mountains but close to anything you could need or want.
