Beautiful private getaway with all the comforts of home. Great care taken to provide all the convenient touches. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed staying at this cabin, it is very beautiful and secluded away from people for miles. If you want to get away from society, this is the perfect place to do it! The cabin had any necessities needed in the kitchen and the stay was great. I appreciate that I was able to bring my dog as well.
This property was exactly what we were looking for. A place to get away from the hustle bustle. From the beginning of the 5 mile trip off the driveway to finally reach The secluded bear cabin. It’s like a sightseeing mission for wildlife. Once at the cabin, which has its own lake , It’s just awe inspiring The cabin was very clean and the view is astronomical We will definitely be back. The wilderness staff are very nice people.. I highly recommend this place.
Excellent experience not only with the check-in process and Forrest/Lisa, but the cabin was exactly like you see in the photos. Staying here is serene, private, and safe. Perfect all around.
My husband asked me to find a cabin on a lake with no people. This was the perfect place for just the two of us. Didn't see a soul until we checked out. It was amazing to see all the deer and elk walking around.
We were looking for a place to get away from it all - this was perfect. The elk were huge and beautiful, the private lake was amazing, there wasn’t another person for miles, and the cabin was super clean and comfortable!! We will definitely be back.
Wonderful vacation spot! Complete solitude on our own private lake. The beauty of the location far exceeded our expectations. Beautiful scenery and wildlife galore. Cabin was clean and more than suitable for our needs. Updated bathroom with very nice tiled shower. Charcoal grill, outdoor seating with fire table.. Our dogs loved it too! Forrest and Lisa were great! Accessible, knowledgeable and very welcoming. We will be back. Our only regret was that our stay was too short.

Secluded cabin
We liked the cabin itself overall, but we were not prepared for how much we had to "rough it". Thankfully we brought our small SUV as the road to the cabin was pretty rough. This trip would have been good if we had not been without power for over a day. No power meant getting lake water to flush the toilet in addition to some of our food going bad. It made it really difficult to enjoy the stay..
Also, the oars for the row boat need to be replaced.
I was surprised when we got to the cabin. You actually have your own private lake! The cabin was very clean with all the amenities of home. This cabin feels very remote even though there are others on the property. I'm sure they feel just as remote. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and listening to the bullfrogs and red squirrels. We even heard some elk our last night and saw a porcupine on our drive out! Thanks again everyone at the property!
Given the online photo - I wasn't sure that the cabin would be very good, although we wanted the peace and quiet. But - it was really nice. Yes - it's an older cabin and the major appliances are older, they did a great job of furnishing newer towels, bedding and mattress. It has a newer coffee maker, toaster and plates, etc - and the cabin was really clean and comfortable. It's so remote and quiet that we couldn't hear anyone else - only the abundant wildlife on the completely private small lake. Will be back. Thanks team.
I don’t have words to express how amazing of a place this is. It was so much more than we were expecting. Super clean, all the amenities you could need. The bear cabin is so secluded, all you hear is the nature. It’s even on its own private lake. You won’t be disappointed!
Forrest and Co. do a great job of maintaining and managing this awesome property. The cabin and surroundings are picturesque and there is not shortage of wildlife, serenity and space to wander. If you're not there to hunt/fish, there are great lakes in the area to hang out at the beach/shore and get some swimming in. We highly recommend the Wilderness Reserve and look forward to going back in the future!
Everything was immaculately clean and the property was gorgeous. We had a wonderful time and will be back. But next time we won’t bring the Prius. Any normal car should be just fine on the dirt road leading to the cabin but the Prius bottoms out if you look at it funny.
