My stay in Maine was extended so I returned to this lovely spot after only a week’s absence. Of course, not much had changed. Still peaceful. Still cozy and clean. Still managed by an excellent host. Thankful.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary over a two week period in a quiet setting alongside a babbling brook, the home of two busy beavers. Our clear evenings were brightened by firefly displays and on an occasional stormy night we were presented with shows of lightning and thunder. And the home is just minutes from a nice public beach. What more can one ask for?
Such a great choice for us! Easy location nr services/restaurants and yet just enough away from the main road for that country feel and peace n quiet! Super clean, cute spot! We wd rent here again!! 👍🌝
We enjoyed our stay in this cozy cottage in a quiet corner of Maine. It is located on a quiet road with easy access to US1, and was just what we were looking for.
The cabin was clean, neat and met our expectations. The bedroom was located upstairs and the bed was very comfortable. The first night that we arrived as we gazed at the stars, while sitting on the patio, a transformer blew out nearby and all the lights went out. We had brought two camping lights which were perfect. The utility company was out in an hour searching for the burned out transformer.
The lights were on as we woke to the sounds of the babbling brook outside because we left the window open for extra air. I’m glad we did. This was surely a treat.
There weren’t enough screens to open the downstairs windows to hear the brook so we only opened the upstairs windows.
We brought a small grill and grilled our fresh lobsters nightly. The home is equipped with everything needed. There was large pots for lobsters, toaster, crackers for lobsters, microwave, wine glasses etc.
The walk to the bay was less than a mile away. Made for some Lovely morning and evening walks. Bring plenty of bug spray as the mosquitoes were biting.
We would definitely return again.
The owner communicated and was available if we needed her. We would definitely return.
