All 9 of us enjoyed the large house and outside spaces. We could easily walk to Jetties Beach and downtown. The kitchen was well appointed and the dining room was a lovely room fun to share our first dinner.
When we had a plumbing issue the owner of the house was very responsive. A great rental!
Absolutely beautiful home and property!
Our family of 7 had an amazing time. Perfect location - close to town, beaches, restaurants and ferry.
Gorgeous historical home but with all the current amenities.
Michele could not have been nicer and when we had a small issue at the house, she took care of it immediately.
So many quiet sitting areas for reading and relaxing and the gardens are lovely. Nantucket at its best!
This property is a pleasure in so many ways. The house itself, generous in size and appointments, is beautiful and historical. It features an enormous Colonial walk in fireplace, period wall paintings, and gorgeous exposed beams. The furnishings are elegant but comfortable for vacationers. We loved the large comfortable kitchen which is graciously stocked with every conceivable type of dish, platter, and cooking implement. The linens and towels are quite lovely as well. Finishing out the wonderful house was a large deck and a beautifully planted garden we all just loved wandering. The location of this house is absolutely perfect...close to town without being in the busy center. Finally, I want to note that the landlady, Michele, is a delightful woman who could not possibly be more helpful. This was the nicest vacation rental I have ever had the pleasure of using and I unreservedly recommend it.
Great location, short walk to town but yet just far enough away to enjoy the quite peaceful feeling of being on vacation. The home was a nice mix of the historic feeling of being in Nantucket and modern amenities. There were 6 of us, the home was very spacious and comfortable. We recommend staying here for those looking for a great experience while in Nantucket.
Beautiful Historic Nantucket Home in the Perfect Location
The home was amazing. The history of the home and all of the beautiful furnishings made every moment special. It is in an ideal location on the island. Close to town and the beach, but also with wonderful outdoor spaces. The owner was very responsive and helpful during our stay. Definitely a place to come back to,
Had the pleasure of staying in this home for a long weekend this summer. The house was exactly as described, very comfortable, and conveniently located. It is filled with countless historical tributes to the island, feels like "old Nantucket" and is a short 5 minute walk to town. The deck-area outside is perfect for reading a book or having a cocktail to end the day.
The house is very comfortable and close to town. You can also walk to Brant Point and Jetties Beach. It was well supplied with towels and beach chairs. We loved the extensive book collection and comfortable living room. The only negative is that the listing said five bedrooms. There are four, the fifth was really an alcove open to the kitchen. The property manager was very nice and accommodating and I would likely stay again.
