The most amazing slice of paradise. Our grandson loved every minute - from swimming, riding his bike and to feeding the pig.Michelle & Ash couldn’t have been more helpful.Next time we will bring a 4 wheel drive!!
We rented the owners property for a week with our two children (4 & 5). We loved the house and the grounds were stunning. The accomodation was clean and well resourced with all the basics you need for cooking etc. We made use of the kayaks on site and the nearby boatramp. The kids loved it! Would highly recommend.
It is an excellent spot and the hosts are great, however for those people who are scared of dogs there was no communication prior that there are dogs roaming the area. To improve this it would be better if this was stated on the property description
Amazing private spot. Great fishing and great hosts. The Bach was super clean and comfortable for us and our two teens. Loved walking up to feed Archie the Kunikuni Pig and see the horses.
The perfect place to recharge batteries, unfortunately too cold in August to use the kayaks, but just sitting on the deck looking at that view was so peaceful. Michelle is delightful, and came over immediately we contacted her as we wanted to watch the news on TV, but couldn't get it to work. Don't know why we wanted to do that, we don't watch at home because of the negativity. There is 10km of metal road, quite rough so if you haven't driven on metal roads, bear it in mind. It was fine for us, but should be noted. Enjoy!!
We loved our stay in this beautiful piece of NZ paradise! The Bach is so comfortable and modern and has everything required and the views are out of this world! We absolutely loved fishing off the jetty and catching a few good snapper! Michelle was amazing to deal with and we couldn’t have been happier!
If you need a break from the ‘noise of life’ then this is the perfect place to just be!
Loved it thank you so much Michelle and fam 😀
We had an amazing stay at Poukoura. The location and setup of the beach house suited us perfectly, being so private and within a few steps of a private beach. The house has everything you need, is well presented, there was a good supply of basics and Michelle was a dream to deal with. If we needed anything or wanted info she responded quickly and was very easy to deal with. The property has a boat ramp you can use which suited us well and the location is so peaceful, with easy access to islands for day trips and Kerikeri for supplies. We'll be back for sure!
A wonderful get away with the family. Great location and stunning property. Friendly hosts and really enjoyed the peaceful aspect and the ease of getting out on the water. Will definitely be back. Thanks for letting us stay.
A truly wonderful stay in a beautiful, tranquil location. This property exceeded our expectations, the views are stunning and the house had everything we needed and more, the kayaks were a real treat and little one never got tired of exploring. The host was so kind to pop over with kids pamol when all the pharmacys had shut in town, so helpful and generous. Would 1000% recommend anyone to stay, young or old, families, it has something for everyone. We would love to come back one day, thank you for a wonderful weekend away.
We had the most amazing week here with water sports, kayaking, a trip to rainbow falls and long lunches at Urapukapuka Island with our three children (6-12years). A relaxing bach with stunning views. Thanks for sharing your incredible piece of the coast with our family Michelle (and the mooring for our boat), we really appreciated it! We would definitely recommend this bach to others.
This bach is located right on the beachfront with the bay being accessible/swimmable at all tides. The bach is clean and tidy and contains everything you need for a break away at the beach, no need to pack too much! Very friendly and welcoming hosts who were available for anything we needed whilst we stayed. Thank you for having us!
The property is in a beautiful, isolated and tranquil part of the Bay of Islands. The house is modern and warm and had everything we needed. The landscaping around the house is pretty extraordinary - the hosts have a deep care for the land. The place and location were perfect for us for the weekend.
Michelle was great from the minute we made the booking. Quick to respond and be of assistance. Directions were clear and found the place easily. The bach has everything you need and the views are simply breathtaking ! Right on the water's edge. Boat launch on their property. We towed the kids on the tube and did some water skiing. Went fishing as well as visited Oke Bay via boat. Was a fantastic 4 nights. only 25 mins drive to Kerikeri. We will certainly be back in the future. Thank you.
Stunning location for a family holiday. Peaceful and remote with amazing views. Friendly property manager who welcomed us and ensured we had everything we needed.
We had such a fantastic stay at this beautiful little bach right on the beach. The house had everything we needed and we spent the days swimming, kayaking and fishing. So peaceful with just the sounds of the birds and an occasional boat. Lovely large deck to lounge around and read books or play games. Looking forward to when we can visit again!
Now this is what I call a bach. Ultimate beach front property with manicured gardens and tidy new 2 bedroom unit that is comfortably and tastefully furnished. Michelle and Ash were very accommodating and we had a relaxing time boating and paddling in the most beautiful part of NZ. We will be back!
The pictures do not do this bach justice, it is even better. Beautiful and peaceful , and private location, with the water a few steps away. Great communication with the owner. Highly recommended.
It was one of the best places we stayed. Even though it rained most of the time we stayed but just sitting inside and watching rain on the water was very relaxing. We are definitely planning to come back to this place during summer and try some kayaking and fishing.
Just a small area of improvement, there were a lot of additional blankets available, but we felt some of them were not very clean. Some of the dishes were also a bit dirty. But these were very small things compared to the property.
