About this property

Milnthorpe Holiday Cottage

This two bedroom holiday cottage is set in a private bush setting and provides a great base to explore Golden Bay. Across the road is the unique Milnthorpe Revegetation Project with its walking tracks and sculpture trail. A couple of minutes stroll takes you to a safe beach for swimming, fishing and boating. The cottage is only a few minutes drive to the world-renowned Mussel Inn or you could take a walk along the beach to Collingwood and visit one of the cafes. There is a well equipped bookcase, games and jigsaws for those rare wet days or just sit and listen to the birdsong from the tui, bellbirds, fantails etc. The cottage is pet friendly with a fenced yard and dog motel so your canine can have a holiday as well but please let us know if you are bringing your dog(s).

Special conditions:
Tariff is for 2 guests only - additional guests $15 per night. Smoking outside only, pets by arrangement. The cottage is supplied with bath towels only - we ask that you bring your own beach towels.

Extras: Linen (included); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave.

A hidden gem
Quiet, comfortable, well stocked, clean, good parking, central to Kahurangi and Abel Tasman National Parks, Heaphy track. Estuary and beach walk my stand out. River Inn, Tinkys and Mussel Inn good feed. Friendly locals.

Milnthorp Best place in the world
This kiwi bach has everything we needed and the location is beyond perfect with pristine beach and bush on the doorstep - lots of beautiful places within easy reach, very quiet and private. Just wonderful. We have been before and will be back!

A little bit paradise
The bach had everything we needed. The kitchen was well appointed, the living space worked well for us with room to eat, watch tv or play games. The bedrooms were cosy and comfortable.We didn't need to leave the area as Milnthorpe is so beautiful with lovely walks, swimming and gorgeous beaches.Thank you Sandy

A Break Away With our Dogs
We had a lovely relaxed stay at this property. There was plenty of space and we could let the dogs out onto the lawn and know they couldn't get off the property. It is right on the edge of the walking tracks in Millinthorpe bush and a short stroll to the beach. Perfect!

Magnificent Milnthorpe
Great place for us and our friends. Got to visit all their old stomping grounds and the swimming at the beach was wonderful with the gorgeous view of the mountains.

Perfect spot for endless walking
We stayed with our dog and the location and facilities were superb. It's a basic batch but has everything you need. Fully fenced garden, 15 metres from Milnthorpe reserve and 300m from the beach. I think it will be somewhere we revisit on a regular basis.

Peaceful cottage in spectacular environment for everyone including the family dog
Wonderful cottage in a peaceful surrounding with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The beach was an easy short walk down the road and was great for the kids to swim in at high tide. The bush walk across the road is an added bonus with lots of connecting tracks so you can choose a variety of walks. Being able to take the family dog was an added bonus and we all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

Perfect for family
A wonderful time even though it rained for most of it. We got one short walk in and the remainder of the time was quality time with family from all over the world. Hosts were great. We can highly recommend this place.
