About this property

Foxton Beach Cottage

Delightful 2 bedroom bach with spacious fully fenced section.Situated at the end of a no-exit road adjacent to a reserve. Great walking and cycling tracks. Fantastic in the summer months and also very warm in winter as double glazed & there is a log fire. 10 minute walk through sand hills to Ocean Beach. Sheltered, quiet section with ample space for lounging on the deck chairs. Very suitable young family. Outside pets only - fully fenced. Price $150 a night is for house ONLY for 2 adults & two children. $25 pp for extras. Extra if sleep out is used.
There is a sleep-out with a double bed and bunks (sleeps 5) making this ideal for two "small" families. It has its own toilet and shower. But please we do not appreciate "extra" unstated guest staying. Guests bring own linen: sheets, pillow cases, towels etc. You also have to clean the house the house yourself
NB

$150 a night for 1 family of up to 4 for house only. i.e. 2 adults , 2 children. $25 extra per person. $220 a night for 2 families i.e. 4 adults, 4 children. $25 extra per person. NB. 4 night minimum over January.
This is a great place for a relaxing holiday. There is so much for the kids and adults to do.

Special conditions:
Two night minimum stay with a minimum 3 nights for long weekends. No smoking inside please. Outside dogs ONLY.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels)or separately pay the lady across the road.

Foxton Magic!
We stayed here with a small school group. It was perfect for our needs, comfy beds, big kitchen and living area, big park just over the fence and beach walking distance. We will be back!

Perfect for Family Holiday
Owner's were friendly and easy to deal with. Property was just what we needed and available short notice. Gardens were lovely and a short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to family.

Nice spot close to the beach
Our family came for a short getaway over winter. It's cold in foxton and the winter sun moves behind the trees mid afternoon but the fire heats the place up and you can walk over the dunes to the beach for the evening sun. The place was spotless, it's a good spot for kids and dogs and Barb is amazingly responsive to any questions.

Wonderful relaxing place
We had an amazing stay at this place as a family of three with our two dogs. It was safe, the gardens were wonderful, easy access for walks and the beach. Highly recommend and will be back.

Family reunion
This was a fantastic place for families as plenty of room outside and also the reserve and forest next door which the children just loved. Great place for entertaining as has nice out door area. If you need more accommodation then directly across the road is another bookabaatch the we also used. So having two houses in walking distance was amazing.

The best location at the beach
With my energetic dog, this was ideal! Right beside the huge Cousins Ave reserve, i spent my time wandering through the beautiful forestry with pooch who was ecstatic at having the freedom to run and run. I stayed extra nights, as i enjoyed the place so much, and my local friends also visited during the day...commenting it was so sheltered and spacious. The hosts were most considerate and helpful, recommended highly.

Warm cosy and awesome location
We really loved staying at the sea sound bach. It was warm and cosy with the fire and the kids loved being near the forest and the sand dunes. The bach was super spacious and relaxing for our large family. Barb was really easy to communicate with and was friendly and having Lisa to be able to come and clean for extra $ was a wonderful bonus.
