The quintessential kiwi bach experience. Great location, close to the beach. A welcoming and comfortable home for the weekend, we appreciated the extras like games, use of a BBQ, selection of DVD's, and comfy chairs on the deck to admire the view.Only negative was the shower draining very slowly - no issue once a backlog of hair had been removed. We had a fabulous weekend, thank you for sharing your bach.
Very clean & tidy, views were immaculate & so beautiful to wake up to. Area & neighbouring areas were so peaceful! Overall, we had a good stay. Thank you :)
It was a awesome bach to stay in kept nice and tidy and very cozy. The views around us were absolutely stunning particularly around sunset. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay
This holiday home is amazing!!It was so lovely, clean, spacious and had amazing views of the Firth of Thames. The kitchen was well stocked with all utensils with plenty of room in the fridge and pantry. We loved playing table tennis, darts and all the other things on offer in the garage. The beds were all nice and comfy. It has such a peaceful and calm atmosphere. We loved the views by days and the stars by night. The host replied very promptly to any of our questions and seemed like a nice person. We would highly recommend this Bach and will be looking at booking it again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely batch. It was clean and cosy with an unmatchable view. We did some nice nearby walks at the regional park and spent hours in the lounge just soaking in the view.
The host was responsive and the house was clean with everything we needed.
What a fabulous property. The homeliness, cleanliness and lovely old school character was endearing. We arrived late and it was dark having come from the airport and the local Bayview Hotel for dinner (food is impeccable).
The property was easy to find and the instructions to enter were simple. The last thing we needed was entry issues.
I belong to the Iwi of this area and it was nice to be able to treat ourselves (and being busy with whānau/marae hui). We would definitely come back to stay. It is a big YES from us x
-Nice, clean & cozy. Bonus for the air con, much needed in this weather with the lounge being half glass, looking out at the view 😍
-Plenty of room for our group of 5 adults
-Stunning views from the balcony
- Lots of old school DVDs, which we made use of when not swimming
-Local dairy has all your basic needs but the closest supermarket is 45 min away in Thames so come prepared. The beach is 1min away, directly opposite the house with tonnes of gems for the avid collector, just make sure you pack your water shoes as it's not a sandy beach 🏝️, although there is sand 5min walk to the right going up the beach.
Will definitely stay again at this hidden gem only an hour out and easy drive from South Auckland. Quick response from Keven. Overall enjoyed our girls trip away and will be back again. Thanks Keven & Roy
Everything was wonderful, clean and comfortable and the views stunning! We loved the ping pong table, lounge and kitchen facilities and the beach just across the road and so close to the regional park. Easy communication and highly recommend.
Great spot, beautiful views of firth of Thames and close to beach.

Why they chose this property
Dad built this holiday home 30 years ago when his parents use to live next door. Many decades of memories with dad camping at Kaiaua as a kid and visiting the local mechanic where the neighbours big black shed is now
