This is an amazing place, right on the water, always some boat movement on the water to watch.
Great swimming at the door step .
We hope to be able to come again
Just what we needed after so much time locked down. A beautiful location, surround by a friendly community. A great little bach with everything you need and direct access to the water. Sheltered bay, a beautiful view and easy to access. Thank you.
Quaint rustic property. We ended up not taking our boat and the ability to get away and look around without a boat was difficult - but our choice all the same. It does advertise that you need to take everything you need and this is true, including shampoos hair dryers etc - the place could benefit from supplying the smaller consumables for ease. It was a charming location for a couple of nights and the owners communications were excellent. It certainly had that "bach feel"
We had an amazing time with friends and our little boys at this property for the weekend. It is situated in the perfect position to make full use of the beautiful bay.
We enjoyed paddle boarding, swimming, finding crabs and building sand castles. Oh and lots of fishing off the wharf.
The neighbours were all lovely and friendly.
It is due a deep clean but that's an easy fix.
We loved it here such a special place. We took our run-about from Sandpit with all the gear and stayed 4 nights. Our family came over on the water taxi for a night, we walked to Mansion House bay, swam right in front of bach and took the boat out on fishing trips and explored other bays. We didn't want to leave, so much to see and do but fantastic spot to just relax too.
We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the activity on the harbour and kids swimming and paddle boarding at high tide. A beautiful setting. Would recommend.
An extraordinary holiday enjoyed by teens and adults. Boating, walking, fishing, watching the boats go by, paddle boarding, reading in a location almost too good to be true.
Could hardly be closer to the wharf but still felt like a world away from everywhere. A real Kiwi-style bach but all that is needed to just take some time out.
Fabulous property. Great location to explore the Island, beautiful bach and bay views. Swim or kayak off your door step. Exceptional property if you have a boat too.
Great property and friendly owners. Rated low on cleanliness due to having to clean down surfaces, crockery etc which could have been due to not being occupied recently. Otherwise fabulous spot.

Bach was wonderful and having mod cons and a big kitchen and bathroom made for a very relaxing stay.
Bach was wonderful and having mod cons and a big kitchen and bathroom made for a very relaxing stay. We made good use of the all-tide wharf right on our doorstep and it was so easy being able to tie up our boat anytime of the day. Kawau Island is beautiful and perfect for a family holiday with nice swimming beaches, fishing and walking tracks.
Thank you Bob for renting your beautiful Kawau home. This is an ideal place for a real ‘get-away-from-it—all’ break. The house is so tastefully decorated and being right on the water makes for a very special , chilled atmosphere. We swam, paddle-boarded, fished, explored the island & the kids made some new friends so plenty for all to enjoy. Having the pontoon was such a joy - climbing into the boat straight from the wharf was a real bonus. Highly recommend this Bach & we hope to return one day. Thank you.
Simply stunning part of the world this little jewel.
So close to the water you could drop a line in and pluck a fish straight out. I reckon someone would have.
We were greeted by the owners delightful Agent Lois, who welcomed us, and told us all we needed to know for an enjoyable weekend on the island.
The dwelling had all you need and more for a comfortable weekend (summer or winter). All the modern conveniences and it couldn't be more central to wharves, walking tracks etc.
Great value accomodation, Kawau Island the hidden Gem, and hopefully remains that way for a long time to come. Thank you for facilitating a truly memorable weekend.
We hope to stay again.

In love with this piece of paradise
This place is amazing. Definitely go and stay there.
I am madly in love and very depressed about having to return to reality. Swimming on the door step, watching the stingrays, and visiting with the local dogs. Definitely a holiday to remember. I will do everything possible to go again
