Uniquely designed post and beam construction house held together with wooden dowels, built from massive Cypress beams and New Zealand Native grown Red Beech and Matai flooring. Sheep's Wool insulation and solar water heating further gives this holiday house a true eco-home feel.
Many comforts too,leather lounge suite, comfortable beds and pure wool luxury carpets through out.Live for a while in one of the prettiest places in the world.

A perfect holiday stay, even if the weather is rough.
Glenorchy House is a perfect base, as it is situated in the midst of mountains, lakes and rivers. Ideal for those interested in fishing, hunting, jet-boating, water-skiing, tramping or just chilling out.

We have a friendly local who maintains our house to a high standard. You can even have the fire lite in advance of your arrival if you ask.

A slice of paradise
A beautiful and warm house in a wonderful setting. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable seating and good bathrooms. The single beds are a bit on the hard side though.

Excellent property for our family group to stay together for a wedding held at the Eco Lodge across the road. Property manager was helpful ringing to warn us about the road closure and was on hand to help with getting the television to work. There were some unpaying guests though which caused some alarm - several mice made their presence known but have presumably been dealt with by now!

The house is really nice. It's big and has everything you need for a good stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the view of the mountains is amazing! I can't recommend more. Definitely, a place to go back. :)
