HiWe book every year and love it The kids have memories from each visit It feels like our family bachI did take a photo of two of the kayaks that have holes in them as I’m not sure anyone would feed this back and we remembered them from our previous visit if you are keen I can send these to youAlso we loved that the windows and wall had been updated Thank you so so much Hemopo family
Awesome spot!!! Amazing Location!! Loved the access to kayaks, lifejackets, wet suits etc!!! Definately coming back!! amazing 3 nights, we wished it was longer!! Hosts go over and beyond!!
We loved spending Christmas at the Pink Pipi. Located close to the local shop wharf and walks, we had access to everything we needed. Best of all, the Bach was right on the estuary and we had free use of kayaks so we could explore right from our back door. The house had a well equipped kitchen and lots of space for us. We had some unexpected cold weather and the fire place was an added bonus.
Location was lovely but the house was such a let down.
We arrived to find 2 packets of mouldy bread in the unclean pantry.
The fridge was also dirty.
There was a gap in the window pane by the dining table and it was also mould on the window sill.
As previous reviews had stated, there were definitely rats in the ceiling and walls...you would think the owner would have attended to this as we are not the first ppl to mention it.
The exterior wall of the bathroom was covered in black polythene!!
I think that the owners should definitely remedy these issues as it is putting Bookabach name into disrepute.
We enjoyed our stay here, a lovely spot right on the side of the river. The bach was well equipped, with everything we needed for a comfy stay.
The only shame is that you can't see the view when the deck doors are closed, but we were able to get out on the deck even in the chilly weather!
Good stack of firewood which was fantastic.
The view was A+
The outside needs a major tidy up, and could do with safety rails for stairs
The rats like to talk about 3am, turning on TV helps them shut up
The girls all seen a ghost, on all 3 nights, they were justing saying hi, house could do with a sage.
Would recommend for a younger family as stairs are dangerous.
House is dated as per website but is perfectly adequate. The draft from the bathroom was the only downside. However house was warm with heaters on. The location is magnificent & the kayaks etc under deck are brilliant. We all want to come back again when it’s warmer & explore the estuary.
Fantastic bach right on the estuary.
Great for a family weekend away.
Kitchen and bathroom have been renovated and modernised. Heat pump, heaters and fire made the bach very warm and cosy.
Karitane has a wonderful peninsula walk and the boys enjoyed fishing off the wharf and kayaking in the estuary.
While the inside was clean and upgraded with new kitchen, bathroom and flooring, the windows didn't shut properly and were not clean. The outside of the house desperately needs maintenance. We heard rats in the ceiling. It is a quaint place which would be good for a young family but not really us oldies. View was lovely.
Nice rustic little cottage as in the description. Comfortable with views overlooking the river. Used the kayaks on the river. Would enjoy coming back again sometime.
Lovely relaxed spot beside the river. Everything you need. Walks, swimming, kayaks, bird-watching. Thank you

Pink Pippi disappoints
The wonderful location of the property was completely overshadowed by the extremely poor state of repair. We find it hard to believe that a property of this calibre is able to be on the Bookabach site. The house was dirty, there were rotten window systems and large gaps in window panes, many window catches missing, and no cladding around one side of the house. We heard rats in the ceiling on both nights.
We would not recommend this property to anyone.
This stay was a Christmas gift, we had a lovely surprise. The location was perfect and easy to find. The house was excellent and all you needed (except I didn't take tea and coffee) The dishwasher was a bonus for me. We also wished we had body boards as the surf on the beach was great. Thank you for a great get away.
