Slice of heaven

This house does not disappoint! It’s luxurious, and has everything you will need for your stay. We enjoyed the house and exploring the island. We walked the beach, saw tons of birds, seals, ships, and fisherman. We held our breath to see the orcas pods the locals told us about, but it wasn’t in the cards for us this time. There are beautiful parks and hikes. The island hs many local artists with beautiful shops and excellent restaurants. We will definitely be back!!!

About the host

I’m a local who’s always called this island home. Growing up here, I’ve developed a deep love for the ocean, the forest, and the simple pleasures of island life. I enjoy spending time outdoors—whether it’s swimming, kayaking, or just soaking in the sun from one of the many beautiful spots around here. There’s something special about living in a place where nature is always within reach.

As a host, I want to share the peace and beauty of this place with others. I’ve always believed that Bowen Island has a unique way of helping people unwind and reconnect with what’s important. I’m here to make sure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, whether you’re looking for local tips or just a quiet place to relax. My goal is to give guests a true taste of island life, with all the warmth and hospitality that comes with it.

Why they chose this property

Growing up here, I was surrounded by the quiet beauty of the forest and the constant presence of the ocean. Bluewater has always been my favorite, especially for the sunsets—there’s nothing like watching the sky light up over the water.

The peace and quiet here are unmatched. It’s far enough from the busier parts of the island to feel like a true retreat, but still close enough to the essentials. The community is close-knit and friendly, and there’s a strong connection to nature. I’ve always loved how wildlife is just part of daily life—whether it’s deer in the yard or seals playing offshore, it’s something special that you don’t find everywhere.

This neighborhood isn’t just a place to live; it’s a place where I’ve always felt grounded and connected. That’s why I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.

What makes this property unique

What makes the Bluewater Retreat special is its close connection to the ocean. With private beach access just steps away, you’ll enjoy uninterrupted views of the water and nearby islands, especially at sunset as this location offers the most beautiful evening skies on Bowen Island. The quiet neighborhood adds to the sense of peace, making it a perfect spot to unwind.

Wildlife is a regular part of life here—deer often wander by, and you can spot seals and sea lions in the water. On occasion, you might even catch sight of orcas or humpback whales passing through. This blend of natural beauty, wildlife, and a tranquil setting makes this retreat a welcoming and unique place to relax and enjoy the island's charms.
