Welcome to Sandy Palms….

COMPLETELY RENOVATED AFTER THE 2024 STORMS with new drywall, electrical, plumbing, cabinets, vanities, paint, appliances & more. New photos were taken Dec 20, 2024.

You’ll love this updated classic Florida beach house. On a quiet dead-end street and close to everything in Holmes Beach. It’s a perfect home base for your family to enjoy the laid back, Old Florida lifestyle of Anna Maria Island. Sandy Palms is managed by the owners who live in FL and are always available if you should need anything during your stay.

Sandy Palms is a single family home- not a duplex. Completely renovated and updated through out with all the comforts of home . The house is professionally cleaned between each guest. We (the owners) personally check the home before each check-in to assure everything is ready for your arrival.

The blue gulf waters and spectacular sunsets are just a 5 minute walk. Restaurants and shopping are a couple of blocks away. Grocery store is only 1-1/2 miles away. And the free AMI trolley stop is right around the corner, where you can catch a ride to stops all over the island. Shopping, dining, live music, fishing…. you’ll be spoiled for choices to fill your vacation days.

This ground level home has no stairs to climb, just one step-down into the sunroom. New tile floors throughout. Our kitchen is well stocked quartz countertops and appliances. There's a spacious primary suite with walk-in closet and a large glass shower. Guest room 1 has a king bed and en suite bath with walk-in shower. Guest room 2 has two twin beds. There's a 3rd bathroom with a shower/tub combo and a door to the private outside shower. All bedrooms have closets, fans and smart TVs. The pool (heated to 85 deg Oct thru May) is protected with a removable child-safety fence. It's a perfect place for your family to enjoy time together without having to share common spaces with strangers.

Just bring your bathing suit and flip-flops, we've got the rest. Beach towels, chairs, umbrella, cart and a coolers are provided for your convenience. And a supply of soaps, detergents, paper products and basic spices are stocked for you as well.

We’ve been coming to AMI for years and would love to share our recommendations for anything else you might need…. just ask!

The BEST!

My husband and I with our 2 kids, ages 5 and 7 along with my parent's (for half the week) really ENJOYED this house, location, the cleanest, honestly all of the above! After i booked this property I went right away and booked a 6 passenger golf cart. We used that all the time!! This house had everything we needed. The pool was a perfect size for our 2 kids! Rebecca stayed in contact with us and made sure all of our needs were met and any time we reached out to her she responded right away! We will definitely be back to enjoy your beautiful home! Holmes Beach holiday

My husband and I and our son, daughter-in-law and their two young children had a wonderful week in your newly renovated home close to the beach. We appreciated the layout of your home as well as all the safety features. The house was well supplied with everything we needed. We hope to visit again.

Amazing Gem. The Perfect Getaway

We can't say enough amazing things about Sandy Palms. Rebecca made our stay wonderful. Before we arrived She sent us a list of places to explore, restaurants to check out, and shops where we could rent bikes and other toys. The house itself is beautiful and was a perfect fit for our family. The walk to the beach is quick and the collapsable wagon makes bringing the house's chairs and umbrellas a breeze. We LOVED the privacy and calm found at the pool. It was the perfect place to float and cool off after a long day at the beach. Everything was perfect. When the tropical depression that became Hurricane Helene started to grow, Rebecca was in constant contact with us to keep us updated. When evacuation orders came, Rebecca reminded us to fill up on gas and gave us a tip to try and leave early if we could to help beat the traffic jam that was sure to come. Our hearts go out to everyone on AMI and all of SWFL affected by the Hurricane. We know how special this island is, and we will return as soon as possible.

Spring Break in Anna Maria

Rebecca's rental is one of the cleanest rentals we have stayed in. The kitchen is well equipped for any cooking you may want to do, and she is very helpful with any questions you may have. We highly recommend this house if you are planning on visiting Anna Maria Island. The location is perfect!

Buckeyes visit Anna Maria Island

This house was exceptional. Very clean and modern. Extremely well stocked with everything guests need. We were not able to enjoy the pool because of the cool temperatures and the fact the pool is quite shaded. Communication with the host was excellent. Would definitely return to this rental.

Perfect Beach Cottage

This was one of the nicest properties we’ve ever stayed in. Just as pretty as the pictures, meticulously clean, and very well stocked. Location is great - one block over from beach and close to everything. Super easy to get around if you have a golf cart. Can’t wait to return. Would love it if they offered less than one week rentals (especially in summer).

Best VRBO house so far

Attention to detail, down to the baseboards being spotless. The landscaping and outside sitting/gathering areas were amazing. Location close to beach access and restaurants on quiet street. Unassuming from the outside but jackpot vacation home on the inside and backyard. Hope to return soon!

An Amazing Family Vacation

This was our seventh time coming to Anna Maria Island, but first stay at Sandy Palms and it has been the best stay yet! Rebecca was very easy to get into contact with, as well as ensured our stay was great! The home was beautiful and so clean, as well as a quick easy walk to the beach. It is even in a perfect location all together in regards to the island. A quick drive to the north end, as well as down more south of we wanted. Overall, as a family of 6, with young ones, we had an AMAZING vacation.

Perfect spot for our family!

Our family of 5 had a great time in Anna Maria and this home was perfect for us! We utilized both the pool and beach every day! The pool, even though it looks small in pictures, was actually a perfect size. Location to beach was truly only a 5 min walk. There are many spots to access the beach on the island but it was nice to be close to a spot that felt more private/less people. Definitely a plus for us! We visited in August so didn’t rent bikes (too hot) but did rent a golf cart and felt it was the best way to get around the island from our location. Bikes would have been a little far of a ride into the little town/shops of Anna Maria with our younger kids but a golf cart made it easy, quick, fun and easier to find parking! Plus more fun to explore the entire island this way! The house was very clean and well stocked. Plenty of towels/beach towels, pool and beach toys, chairs etc. Also if you have little ones, the extra measures for pool safety are above and beyond with a very kid proof gate locking system and alarm system. Rebecca was always helpful and responsive with check in, check out and any questions we had during our stay. Overall we loved this home and would definitely come back!

A little slice of heaven!

This was our first time to AMI and we could not be more pleased with choosing this home for the week. It was absolutely perfect for my family and I! Rebecca has really thought of everything and is a wonderful host! Very easy to communicate with and she clearly wants her guests to have an enjoyable stay. The house had every amenity and more and the location to the beach was perfect as it was a very short walk. The pool was exactly what we needed to stay cool in the July heat. The best part was how the landscaping was done to give you privacy and shade. We loved this home and can't wait to get back there again!

We wanted a special vacation for our children and grandchildren, and this house definitely made it special! The house was perfect, it was decorated beautifully, had everything we possibly needed and was spotless. We felt so at home in this house, we can’t wait to come back. Our family of six has been making day trips to AMI since we moved to Florida. We love the beaches, the people, the restaurants, the shops and the small island feel. Having a place of our own here has been a dream for many years. We're so excited to finally make it a reality. We hope you enjoy our home-away-from-home as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this particular house because it's "just enough".

Just big enough to have everything you need, just small enough to keep tidying-up chores easy, just close enough to all the fun but still be private & quiet, and just far enough away from our home in Tampa to feel like a vacation without a long drive.

What makes this property unique

Our house is centrally located on Anna Maria Island, close to beach, the bay, shopping, entertainment and dining.
The beach is just a 5 min walk away..... 10 houses.... exactly 450 steps. Our beach area is usually not crowded as their is no public parking nearby so day trippers are not an issue.
We go the extra step between each guest; the house is professionally cleaned and then double checked by ourselves, the owners. We live only an hour away and we are always reachable, so you're never going to be left without someone to address any issues you may have.
We take great pride in keeping our vacation house as nice & inviting as our full time home. We think of you as our personal guests.
