About this property
Countryside Gem: Modern Retreat Near Philly + NYC
Situated in the country-side surrounded by trees and lawn in a quiet, spacious neighborhood, this modern family-friendly residence is perfect for getting a balance of nature and access to cities nearby. 45 mins by car to Phila or 90 mins by train to NYC.
Activities: Walk or Bike to the canal trail along the river. Bowman's Tower and Nature preserve. Visit wineries. Shop + dine in New Hope or Lambertville 10 mins down the road. Tubing on the Delaware in the summer. NJ beaches are a 1 hr drive.
It's a split-level home has three bedrooms and an office. There are 2.5 bathrooms, an eat-in kitchen for 4 and also a large dining room and table that expands for 10. Get comfy in one of the many sitting areas: living room, family room, front porch rockers and back deck for outdoor meals.
Having a large backyard lawn and climbing/play structure where deer roam by when it's quiet is perfect for sending the kids out to play, a night at the fire-pit, or grilling with friends and family. The family room has a large leather sofa, 55" TV, and a closet full of toys, puzzles, art supplies and games. One of the bedrooms has a bunk bed and additional toys and kids books as well as a kids “Nugget” sofa. One of the bathrooms has a shower and bathtub perfect for washing kids. The office room is downstairs separate from the main three bedrooms. If anyone needs to work, the office can be a good space for privacy.
We're willing to be flexible on the price for monthly or long stays.
Note, this home was built in the early 1950s and has some original features or older appliances but everything is in clean and working order. We have updated the refrigerator (not pictured), the HVAC, smart thermostat, new toilets and more.
Also note for children under 3 or anyone who struggles with stairs, since it's a split-level style home, there are about 5 stairs up to the main level (kitchen, living room, dining room) from the front door and another 7 up to the main bedrooms. We do have a pack n' play and high chair available upon request.
There’s a large driveway for parking. No garage access currently.
We are available by text or phone anytime. If anything is needed, I will promptly arrange for assistance accordingly.
Beautiful neighborhood with quick walkable access to the Delaware river and the canal for walking and biking trails.
