HORIZON SURF LODGE - family beach house

A truly well presented two story "retro" style holiday home with views of ocean and Indicators Surf Break. Only minutes away from Raglan's famous surf spots; Indicators, Whale Bay and Manu Bay - all within walking distance - a surfers paradise, 8.5km drive (12 mins) from Raglan township.

This home has been designed to engulf sunlight (north facing) and sheltered from predominant winds. Enjoy the large deck upstairs which flows from master bedroom to main living areas and onto deck with BBQ. The kitchen is well fitted out with an open plan entertainers delight directly onto dining and lounge areas with bifolds opening to outdoor living.

Located at end of no exit road which allows for a quiet, relaxing haven to enjoy your time away.

Combination of bedding allows for:
1. Upstairs: Super King Bed
2. Downstairs: 2 Bedrooms with 2 Singles in each bedroom (1 bedroom can accommodate a Super King Bed, the other 2 Singles).
Please advise of your preferred bedding configuration upon request.

*Pricing may vary depending on the dates you choose and the number of guests. Our nightly rental rate is based on 2 guests then additional thereafter. Additional charges (extras) and minimum stay criteria may also apply. Service fees via HomeAway will also apply.

This property was absolutely beautify. We can’t say enough about the view and the sounds of the ocean. We stayed a lot of places while in NZ and this host provided the most information to help our stay. We highly recommend.

Perfect holiday spot

This is our second time staying here and we loved it once again. We had everything we needed, it was clean and tidy, and the spa is awesome. Great location for surfing too!

Perfect winter getaway

This place was perfect for a midwinter getaway with it's lovely view and hot spa and short drive to the town centre. The house was also really clean, warm and comfortable.

Beautiful West Coast Paradise

The house was clean, warm & dry. The view is fabulous and watch sunsets is a must daily routine. We all needed some recharging and this is certainly the spot for it. Thanks to Jill’s also who did a great job and had a can do approach. Awesome all round

What a location !

Last minor booking and unsure where to stay. Couldn’t believe the location. This is a functional and practical house that gives a great view over the surf and headland . Great ( dineehat hard) walking tracts close by . Clean and comfortable.

I'm not a surfer but...

This was a great place to stay and soak in the surfer vibe. The space is very comfortable. Good beds, great view from the deck. Hot tub was good. Gas grill on deck was clean and worked well for burgers and steaks. Ngarunui Beach close-by down the road is an awesome beach for swimmers to splash in the surf. Very enjoyable stay!

Great location and views

Awesome house in a great location. Has everything yo may need. Great sunset views, overview of whale bay and access to the surf close by. Private parking is great as the area can get busy when there is a swell. House was perfect for 2 couples, but could be a bit crowded with 6 people. 10-15 minute drive from downtown Raglan. Can’t wait to go back! Thanks again for letting us stay here. Cheers! R.

The Stay was all good. However, the beds were very uncomfortable. The couch in the front room was horrible. All of the cookware was terrible and falling apart. All of the cutlery is very dull, old and dangerous. The location is wonderful The host was fantastic The house had pests probably rats in the attic For sure, the property needs to be cleaned up and upgraded Hot tub was very old, only one out of eight Jets worked It was a perfect location with a perfect view and a wonderful host. However, it was as if the owners have not taken care of the property in years. The space heaters were old, small and cheap The fans that were provided for the comfort of guest were the tiniest oldest cheapest things I’ve ever seen This was yet another property or the owners take money and never do any upgrading

Wonderful location, loved waking up to beautiful birdsong and the sounds of the ocean! Lots of native birds flying around the property. House is very comfortable and immaculately clean. Would definitely stay again!!
