Feed the vibrant birdlife or the local eels from the bridge - This is a small, springfed stream, which flows just to the west of Takaka’s Commercial Street and into the Takaka River. It was a small Maori eel fishery area and was an outdoor playground for local children to boat, fish and swim in.

Gorgeous batch in Takaka. Loved the location in glorious Golden Bay . Very comfortable and home like . Excellent kitchen facilities. Shower pressure not brilliant but wouldn’t stop me rebooking as love the house , location and owners very nice people to communicate with. Cheers Mel Christchurch
A very nice cottage/house in a great location. Walkable - 10 mins - to centre of Takaka. Rural outlook. Clean and tidy, all the amenities we needed. Would stay again. :)
While I didn't have a problem with the accommodation. Communication fell short.
A month before final payment a request was sent to change booking from 5 to 4 people. Nothing happened. This request was sent again and still nothing changed. I felt that I was ripped off as request was sent within the allotted time.
Property was well stocked , kitchen , linen lovely wood fire. Plently firewood. Shower could have been better but adequate. Would have been great to have a DVD player but otherwise close to town and dog friendly.
Despite being on the main road through Takaka this bach was such a lovely peaceful, relaxing oasis. I especially enjoyed the garden with kereru doing fly-pasts as we ate our evening meal outdoors and a friendly pukeko popping up regularly to say hello. Would definitely stay again.
Very happy with the accommodation, good selection of utensils in the kitchen, comfy bed, even though it is on the main road, it quiets down in the evening. Only negative is the water pressure, don't put the dishwasher on then have a shower. Great we could take dogs, not enough people have cottoned on to this for dog owners.
Great place to stay. Wonderful fire to make you feel hugged and warm.
Comfy beds and great location.
Owners great to communicate with and would definitely recommend to others.
Loved the property! It’s very clean, great location and has everything you need and more. Nicely decorated with lots of interesting antique pieces. The beds were comfy and black out curtains which meant we had a great lie in! Would definitely recommend this bach to others.
Lovely comfortable home, well furnished, spacious kitchen/living area. Close to town (walking distance for restaurants/cafes) and good base for sightseeing. We were a group of 3 couples. Highly recommend.
