You will be warmly welcomed by our committee of 1x shitsu/maltese dog and 1 border collieX, female.
Escape the city and enjoy your private chalet, purpose built to enjoy the fabulous mountain
and sea views.
We are situated 2kms from Ocean Beach, renowned for beautiful clean white sand.
Perfect for the keen surfer and swimmer.
Bream Head walks are located down the hill at Peach Cove, which will take you over to
Ocean Beach, down to Peach Cove, Smugglers and Urquharts Bay.
Enjoy the serene and spectacular beach walks over to Proctors up to Kauri Mountain
watching the bird life along the way.
Mount Manaia, famous for the mountain climb is both challenging and rewarding.
The views from the top are breathtaking! Well worth the effort.
Urquharts bay, 5mins away is perfect for swimming, paddleboarding and launching your
boat.
There is also a newly built large wharf, suitable for fishing off.
Swimming, diving, waterskiing, and kayaking are all possible just minutes from your Chalet.
If you fancy a round of golf, we have a beautiful course 20 mins away and afterwards you
could enjoy and drink/meal at our famous Parua Bay Tavern.

Tranquil, relaxing stay
We were so pleased to be able to bring our little furry friends with us on this trip. They absolutely loved the beach walks and exploring the rural setting around the studio. Kathryn and Kevin gave us a warm welcome and then pretty much left us to it. The spa pool was an added bonus to relax in. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and hope to stay again one day.

A warm welcome from Kevin and the dogs on arrival. A lovely clean, beautifully decorated accomodation. All necessary equipment to cook and some basic pantry items provided. Fresh milk which we loved(not uht) and some yummy cereal. The spa was fabulous and views perfect. We had a real nice peaceful stay which was what we were looking for. Finished off with a 2 minute drive to ocean beach before heading off. Fabulous property, fabulous hosts.

There’s a reason why Kathryn and Kevin are rated as exceptional hosts, that’s because that is exactly what they are…lovely genuine people who really make you feel welcome. The setting looks exactly like the photos, my partner and I felt so relaxed as soon as we arrived. I highly recommend staying at Twin Palms and look forward to returning soon 😊

Peaceful retreat
This property ticked all the boxes for me - quiet, private, bush and beach views. The interior is spacious with a refreshing decor that instantly relaxes, and the bed is comfy. The spa pool is a real bonus! I enjoyed it all so much I stayed an extra night.

Totally Awesome Place to Relax
What a beautiful, tranquil place to relax. Kevin & Kathryn are truly wonderful hosts. The chalet was immaculate and the facilities more than adequate. The spa was so good to relax in and with such an awesome view out toward the ocean. A special mention to Vespa and Timmy the friendliest little dogs I've met, so funny and friendly. Great place to explore NZ at its finest, great beaches, tramps and bays to explore. Thank you so much Kevin & Kathryn (Vespa & Timmy). An awesome stay!!

Definitely worth a visit
We were really delighted with the well-appointed bach Kathryn and Kevin have set up for guests. They welcomed us and made us feel at home - as did their two gorgeous dogs who got on very well with our spoodle. The bach is actually bigger than the photographs suggest with a view down the valley to the sea - we could hear the waves on the beach and kiwi calling at night. We would thoroughly recommend Kevin and Kathryn as hosts and would definitely come back should there be another opportunity.

Lovely break for Annie, Billy and Duchess.
Lovely selfcontained chalet deep in the bush at ocean Beach, Whangarei Heads. Excellent hosts with lovely pets. We had our 14 year old dog Duchess with us and it was great to be able to have her with us in such lovely natural surroundings. So tranquill. AND BREAKFAST WAS GREAT AS WELL. highly recommended. We will be back.

Absolutly loved our getaway from the city for three nights at Twin Palms. Amazing views looking out to the beaches and up the Whangarei Heads from the deck (and in the spa). Ocean beach is beautiful. We played a little table tennis, walked the beach, hiked one of the tracks (Need sturdy boots), relaxed and enjoyed the full moon while sitting by the fire pit. This was exactly the escape we needed. We feel blessed to find somewhere we could get away to with our dog. Dogs are allowed on Ocean beach but not elsewhere as there is lots of wildlife that needs protecting, but this was no problem as Ocean beach was big enough fo him. Our hosts, Kathryn and Kevin, are such kind people and we loved the daily visits from their wee dogs (Timmy & Vespa). I look forward to returning again to this piece of paradise.

Hello, thankyou for looking at our French country chalet. My husband and I have built the chalet together alongside our rammed earth home. Kevin in a builder and I am a nurse.
Our children have grown up and now we are left with the fur animals and plenty of lovely people passing through our lives with our bnb. We are very happy to share our piece of paradise with you and happy to inform and educate of the surrounding area.

Why not! We have a beautiful ocean view from the spa pool. Tuis, kiwis, wood pigeons along with piece and tranquility in beautiful surroundings.Twin Palms is more like your home away from home. (without the maintenance), leave that to us!
