Brilliantly positioned 30 metres from the beach.

Heat pump is installed to ensure heating during winter.

All beds are set up with feather duvets for the winter and some with electric blankets

It really is a "Hop Skip and Jump" to the beach from the property. The north facing house is sunny and warm and has that all important indoor-outdoor flow. The living area is open plan, perfect for that laid back beach holiday feel. You will find here everything you will need to make your stay comfortable and hassle-free.

Just wander down the short drive way and take a few more steps to the right and you will be on beautiful, safe Waihi Beach - a 9km stretch of pristine sand with the warm Pacific Ocean lapping on the shore.

Waihi Beach Village offers up-market shops and cafes so you will not feel you are roughing it too much while you are on holiday.

Your holiday can be what you make it - lying in the sun, chilling out, or action packed with all the different activities available to you in this area - swimming, surfing, bush walks, kayaking, fishing, biking to name just a few. Which ever you choose, we can say for sure you will have a memorable time!
Special conditions:
Our King Bed Suite complete with ensuite is situated next to our basement garage and has external access.

The house is available from 4pm on your check-in day and check-out is by 11am.

Please leave and clean Hop Skip and Jump in the same condition you found it.

Right by the beach
Excellent weekend with the kids, just a 20 second walk to the beach. Great big bedrooms and everything that you could want for a weekend at the bach.

Downstairs room was flooding when we arrived. It smells very bad We lost power in the first night and had to spend a lot of time organising that The actual person we worked with at the property was helpful however the house is not up to standard Very disappointed for our girls trip away

Waihi short break
Location was perfect being about a 20second walk to beach. Property needs sòme maintenence which let it down a bit. Also the cleanliness of property wasnt great. Had to clean everything before using (bathroom, dishes, cutlery, floor). This needs addressed as you should be walking into a clean environment especially for outlay of money we paid to rent it for the weekend. I guess it is only as clean as the last guests leave it! Lots room to relax on comfy couch and beds are good to.

Location is amazing but house needs some work
The location of this house is perfect! We enjoyed our time but the house is after a bit of love as a few things are falling apart and in need of an upgrade. As the house is for sale I am guessing they are trying not to spend money on it but the downstairs converted room has a damp smell and the bathroom has minimal ventilation. It is fine if you are only sleeping there and will be spending your days at the beach and in town!

Fabulous time at Waihi Beach Bach!
A classic Kiwi bach, with most mod-cons, in a great position; an easy stroll to the beach. We were two families of four and the house accommodated us no problem. Weather was great during our stay meaning we could use the deck. Although the house needs some maintenance it really was good value. Booking and comms with the Manager were excellent. We recommend this bach as a great get away and Waihi Beach as a location with plenty on offer.

The house was lovely and the booking process was smooth and easy. There had been some flooding from the weather the week prior and we had great communication from the host about this. Will definitely book and stay again.

Great place to stay!
The house was ideal for our group of extended family. So close to the beach and in a lovely quiet area - in fact our young grandies were probably the noisiest in the area! Parking was a bit tight as trailer was left in our allotted area, but no other issues at all.

We had a lovely week in Waihi despite a couple of days of bad weather with Cyclone Gabrielle. The house was great, wonderful to be so close to the beach.

Horrible.
We booked and paid for a three night stay, only stayed one night. An expensive lesson not to take note of previous reviews. House was not up to the standard we’d expect for the nightly rate. Old house with wooden joinery. Windows don’t shut properly, wind whistles through the cracks, moisture from outside also gets into the rooms making them damp and mouldy smelling. Screen door broken and not usable. Dining table and 4 chairs very basic, (and uncomfortable) not helpful when you have 8 adults and you are charged for 8 adults. Beds uncomfortable, especially the double bunk bed, it has a very thin foam mattress, may as well have slept on the slats. The lounge carpet was wet by the hall door and was unbearably smelly. The carpet needs a good deep clean and a dehumidifier to remove the moisture and the musty smell. You could smell this as soon as you entered the back door. All 4 couples were unanimous in not enduring another night in this smelly damp house. The downstairs room is a converted garage. The plumbing is noisy and it also smells musty. You are expected the follow the cleaning tasks, (which we did and left it better than we found it) but you are only provided with a basic stick vacuum cleaner and basic cleaning products. Photos are deceiving with regard to parking. Very limited parking and no where to lock bikes up.

Great location and super close to the beach!
Loved the location of this property, could hear the waves from the property which was cool. Literally less than 5 mins away from the beach. The house is pretty old and could use a bit of love - was disappointed with appliances/lights that didn’t work, things leaking, windows cracked and unable to be open, old food left in the freezer etc. There is no cleaning fee in the listing so landlord expects cleaning such as vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms etc to be done. We ended paying $75 to get a cleaner to do it through the property manager. Was disappointing the focus on cleaning given the state the house was in when we arrived - hair in the bathrooms, kitchen and table had food over it, most things we had to wipe over before we did anything. Can’t fault the location but house wasn’t up to the standard we’d expect.

House is in a fantastic location with easy access to town, beach and cycleway. House is not very high spec and needs some maintenance but reasonably comfortable and heaps of room for 3 couples. Great deck with outdoor area and Weber bbq. Kitchen was well stocked and there is heaps of bench space. Take your own coffee, tea and condiments etc. Water pump downstairs was a bit noisy and couples staying upstairs mentioned that beds weren't very comfy. We left some things behind and the property manager kindly sent them back to us.

fantastic location
the location was fantastic but wonder if anyone checked that the kitchen was clean. plenty of room when had family around for a bar-b-que. however bar-b-que only provides mild heat - not quite enough to cook on. Had to cook inside. changed gas bottle but no difference. So close to beach, sheltered - overall great holiday
