The 82 sq/meter Wellswood Cottage is a home away from your own which offers luxury cottage living in a peaceful and convenient location. The cottage is situated adjacent to the main house on its own section. Ideal for business travellers. Availablity calender may not be correct as other booking avenues are in use, so please enquire. An outside Weber B B Q is provided outside. Please read House rules before booking

Absolutely lovely
This is the perfect place to stay: great location, fabulous hosts, and the cottage is done to the highest standard. I spent a month here and didn't want to leave. There aren't enough superlatives to describe this property....everything about it is truly wonderful!

Luxury Cottage Queenstown
Jan has done a superb job of building and equipping this little house. Everything you need for a short or extended stay is available and of top quality. Very warm and cosy place to relax in after a day of adventures around the area. The house is perfectly positioned within easy drive of all the major attractions. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, fully equipped home.
We loved staying in this amazing 'home from home' cottage. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay...and more! The owners had left a very generous welcome pack and we felt very privileged to stay in this beautifully appointed modern cottage. Jan was extremely helpful and welcoming and gave us lots of tips on how to spend our time in the area. We had a fantastic time during our four days, visiting Doubtful Sound, Wanaka for the Skydiving, Queenstown for lunch and a trip on the TSS Earnslaw. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and would love to return one day.

A perfect cottage!
My friend and I were blown away by Jan's cottage! It was even better than the photos and was so perfectly cozy and well appointed. I loved that it's away from the bustle of Queenstown and just so lovely. Jan went above and beyond to welcome us, even driving us to the bus stop before our tour to Milford Sound so we didn't have to pay for parking. We loved getting local advice from him and movie recommendations! We will certainly be back!

We just stayed at this property for 4 nights and can’t stop talking about it. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, and a great location. Jan and Vicki were lovely hosts. We wanted to buy the cottage! As a former property manager, I highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Stay Outside Queenstown
This place was fantastic for visiting the Queenstown area. It was really nice that it was just outside of town which made it faster to get to most of the attractions around the area. We homebased here for a couple days while visiting the South Island and Jan and Vicky couldn't have been better hosts. Truly appreciate the hospitality! The home is well equipped and super clean. 5 stars all around.

I can't praise this place enough. Jan was super helpful, both in making the reservation and when we had an emergency during our stay. (The emergency was unrelated to the rental.) The house itself is nicely laid out and nicely appointed, with well-thought-out dishes/utensils in the kitchen so it could be used for actual cooking. And the knives were sharp - a rarity in my experience with rentals! The house was very clean and organized. The location is just minutes from Frankton, with anything you could want in a retail area, and just a bit more to Queenstown itself. Or a pretty little drive to Arrowtown.

Perfect for us in every way.
We would definitely stay here again. The cottage is connected to the owner's property but so private. I met Jan one morning in the yard and he was very gracious. The home is maintained impeccably; there was nothing that didn't look new or didn't function. It was spotless and clean throughout with high grade furnishings and materials. We were so comfortable there. The location was about 15 minutes from Queenstown up a canyon on the Shotover river in a very nice neighborhood. It may not be right for those who want to socialize in town, but it was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet. Thank you very much for your hospitality and allowing us to stay with you for these three marvelous days.

Amazing cottage in a peaceful location
We had the pleasure of a three night stay at Jan and Vicki's cottage. Having stayed in a large number of holiday rentals over a number of years, this is by far the best. The cottage is charming and furnished to a very high standard. It was also extrenely clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The residential location is so peaceful and an ideal base for exploring Queenstown and beyond. Jan and Vicki are fantastic hosts and were also kind enough to allow us flexibility with check-in and check-out times. This will be our first choice for any future visit to the Queenstown area.

Lower Shotover stunner
We had a wonderful stay at Wellswood cottage. It is charming in a lovely private setting, very clean and with high quality fixtures and fittings. It is ideally located between Arrowtown, Queenstown and the Gibbston Valley with the Lower Shotover river close by. Jan and Vicki were very welcoming hosts, always helpful but not intrusive. They gave us lots of advice re walks and things to do in the region. We highly recommend . J and D Toronto

This cottage was a highlight of our stay! It is located in a very beautiful neighborhood and almost every yard had a beautiful garden. Including this property. They have a beautiful patio that everyone who stays there should enjoy after a long day of exploring. The cottage itself is stunning and a designer's dream. I loved thebiverall desin so much, I will probably try to replicate it in my house. Especially the bathroom. Everything looks and feels high end, but comfortable and lived-in. If you have a car, it's a no-brainer to stay on this property.

WOW!
Words cannot describe how great the Wellswood Cottage was. It was very comfortable, very clean and nicely decorated. As soon as we walked in, we really did feel like home. It exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail was amazing. The welcome snacks, bread and fruit were a nice welcome. We would not hesitate to recommend the cottage. Incredible find
From the moment we walked into this amazing property we felt welcomed. Jon and Vicky are wonderful hosts and in this house we could simply have stayed for weeks and weeks. Very comfortable, private, beautifully appointed. I had a back injury happen and this family went the extra mile to find me very qualified, professional care. I would recommend this wonderful spot to anyone needing an oasis from their travels in and around beautiful Queenstown. Hope we can return one day. The Hunters from Canada

Spectacular in every Facet
From the moment I reached out to Jan prior to booking through the time of my stay, all of my expectations were exceeded. I took some time to read the multitude of reviews on this cottage and every detail noted from others that have stayed at Jan’s place is 100% spot on. The location is fantastic , the set up within the cottage is exceptional and most importantly to me it is meticulously well kept. Jan himself was extremely responsive, very accessible, easy to work with and as a long time resident very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas. The bottom line is - not a single surprise. This will be the 1st place I look at staying the next time my travels take me to Queenstown. Joe

Wonderful Wellswood Cottage
Wonderful Cottage conveniently located a short distance from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown. The Cottage is immaculate, well stocked and well laid out, no detail overlooked. Gardening and landscaping is outstanding with lovely outdoor seating. Jan was very helpful with suggestions regarding activities. We would definitely stay here again.

A little slice of heaven!
This is an amazing property and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. It was beautifully decorated and appointed, very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable! They also had a very nice welcome of snacks and wine in the fridge. It is off the traditional tourist path but if you have a car this is so much quieter and more relaxing than downtown.
