The house is in the perfect location with lovely views and an easy walk into town. Its cozy and comfortable with a full kitchen, great for cooking. Katrina was a great host and communicated well.

The birds just can't help showing off.
What a great place. A fantastic view of the harbour. Very friendly host (and her side-kick cleaner). The place is very spacious with a great kitchen. We lost count at 20 of the tuis in the trees by the house. And the kaka that came by knew he was showing off for the camera.

Cosy in the Middle of Nature
Halfmoon Haven is the perfect location to get a good overview of Steward Island. The appartment is cosy with a view into nature and has everything one needs. Chances to see a Kākā on the balkony are very high :) Communication with Katrina was pleasent and always straight forward, which we appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.

Surrounded by bush and native birds, with views of the harbour over the town, this house was in walking distance of all facilities, and was perfect for three couples.

Sunny Retreat
This bach is very restful with plenty of sunny spots to sit and relax on summery days. We really appreciated all the books and maps on the local places to visit and the history of the island. The kitchen was really well appointed. Everything we needed was available and the house was very clean and tidy. The only negatives were the tired state of the lounge furniture and the musty smell downstairs but these didn't impact on us much as we used the upstairs bedrooms and made use of the abundant cushions in the lounge. Thank you for a super-chill stay!! Can definitely recommend.

We loved our stay here. We were there for 3 nights and it was perfect. Lovely, comfy rooms and everything we needed in the kitchen. The lounge was a great spot for watching NZs native birds, and we even had several Kaka come visit us on the deck. Everything was walking distance and we managed to get around easily. Would 100% recommend.

Ideal location, had everything we needed. Got to see lots of wildlife, kaka on the balcony, kiwis on the road and many other birds. Lovely friendly locals. Only thing you'd need to do is get rid of the rats in the ceiling... didn't worry us at all but someone else may complain. Overall a wonderful experience

Had an excellent stay here. Property is a short walk down to the heart of the village. The weather wasn’t the best but we were very warm and cosy. Plenty to read and games to play .
