About this property

A lovely Beach House set high on the dunes above the beach, with great indoor outdoor flow. Expansive decking to the rear highlights the views across farmland to the Papamoa Hills and the Kaimais. A gorgeous beach Bach offering everything you need to enjoy and relax whilst having the ultimate Kiwi Holiday at the beach.

Wake up to the sound of the waves, breakfast on the deck and relax whilst overlooking the beautiful ocean, surf and dunes on your doorstep. Smell and feel the sea breeze and enjoy the uninterrupted and Extensive sea views looking down the beach and out to Motiti, Plate, White and Whale Islands.

Gorgeous High pitched ceilings create a lovely feeling of warmth and ambience throughout the cosy living area, creating a inviting social space for those long relaxing days. A wooden ladder ascends from the living area to a mezzanine bedroom, with a queen and a couple of single mattresses - suitable for the agile.

Two generously sized bedrooms – a Master bedroom with sliding door to deck and stunning views, and the second bedroom with another queen bed after off the hall leading from the living space to the bathroom and separate toilet.

Come and enjoy our local establishments: “The Store” for dairy, takeaways and cafe is only a short 2 min walk or “The Hippy Pipi” Bar and Restaurant for entertainment or a game of pool, includes liquor off-sales, a grocery store, and takeaways also can be found further up the road towards the boat ramp and surf club.

Only a 15 min drive to Te Puke, 30 mins to Mt. Maunganui and Tauranga (toll road), or 40 mins to Rotorua and Whakatane - all along excellent roads. If you need to refuel the boat, petrol station is only 5 minutes away.

Check in time is 3pm and checkout time is 10am.

*Due to recent storms some beachfront properties beach access has become very unsafe, and we ask that they are not used!

Fantastic family batch

Perfect family batch, our kids loved staying at Pukehina. House is right on the beach with nice elevation for views and privacy. We look forward to our next visit to Pukehina Beach.

Holiday at Lofty Heights

My Kids and I had the best stay at Lofty's for 5 days over the new year. It was a great typical Kiwi batch with all the basics needed to have a great break away. Board Games, books, amazing front and back decks to chill out on, and the beach was absolutely beautiful great swimming. Thankyou Beach Rentals for making my first book a batch nice and easy. We will definitely be back 😊

Pukehina getaway

We had never stayed in a bach on the beach before, it was everything we hoped for. Clean, tidy, amazing views! We saw dolphins as the sun rose. The worst thing was leaving and going home! Thankyou Beach Rentals.

Our Last Stay at Pukehina

This property was great, had the feel of the old style bach and the location overlooking the sea was lovely. However although this was about the best price we could find in Pukehina, this is nearly three times what we paid 10years ago. Pukehina is no longer the affordable beach holiday it used to be. Most of the houses are residential now and the holiday feel has left the place. The pub is closed, and although someone is trying to make it work it is hard with the new demographic staying there. The beach is inaccessible from many beachside properties and is completely gone at high tide. A lot of the infrastucture such as the paths, tennis courts and bike track are just a bit run down. Finally, someone broke into my car during the night, although there has always been some element of this in Pukehina. For us the appeal has been lost and after 20years we are going somewhere else for our January holiday.

Stay at Pukehina Beach

Lovely place on the beach, kids absolutely loved it. Quiet, and woke up to beautiful views every morning. Everything we needed readily available☺️ Warm and comfortable. Local fish n chips were the bomb! Not to far from Tauranga or the Mt. Would absolutely go back again.

A little house with big views

The property was good, with comfortable chairs and beds and a well equipped kitchen. It would have been nice to have had the windows cleaned outside. There was a lot of salt spray on them which we could have cleaned off if we had a hose. The dining table and bedside table had sticky patches on them, which we wiped off easily. Kitchen, floors and bathroom all very clean and tidy. The website listing and communications need editing to state that linen is in fact provided, contrary to what I expected from the description when booking. It was good to have plenty of spare blankets, a bonus, as the nights were chilly. The mezzanine floor is definitely not suitable for children younger than about 10 to sleep in. Overall, we had a very comfortable, enjoyable stay and would happily stay there again. Loved the ocean view.

A great place to stay.

A good property but does need some maintenance - stairs need to be repaired. Rear Terrance needs some maintenance as well. Outside shower great - with hot and cold but the tree growing through it needs to be removed. Some cockroach baits would be good. Despite all of the issues mentioned we enjoyed the place

Great older basic bach in amazing location

This place is right on the beach but its inaccessible due to erosion. Amazing view though and basic cute bach with two bedrooms and a loft we didn't use. Loved the old school double head shower. Its an older bach but awesome and definitely worth staying.

Homely Feel

A cosy, homely beachside Bach. This home had all the amenities for our 3 night stay. It was that comfortable we slept in the lounge and our daughter in the loft. It's not the flashiest on the parade but it has it's own rustic character. Reasonably priced as well. For the future, access to the beach from the home would be amazing. The board games and DVDs were a nice touch. We would definitely rebook again and recommend this home to any easy going family. Thanks from the Cameron's

Suited our need

It was a bit hard to find the actual place. The house is situated on a hill over looking the ocean. Very beautiful outlook. The house suited our needs for the 2 nights we were there. Kitchen was a bit cramped however everything we needed was available to us. Awesome stay and we will be happy to book again, maybe choose one with a bigger kitchen. LOL
