Havelock North Holiday Home, Deco on Duart

A lovely recently renovated three bedroom Art Deco home within an easy 3 minute stroll to the wonderful cafes, restaurants and shops in Havelock North. Extremely peaceful and private location yet only minutes from the vibrant village centre. The house consists of 3 large double bedrooms with a family bathroom (there is also a recently renovated additional bathroom accessed through the the outside laundry), an open plan kitchen/living area with french doors that open out onto a large deck leading onto the private sun drenched garden. The property is fully fenced making it a worry free location for children and animals.

Just a short drive to the many renowned wineries, beaches and other attractions that the sunny Hawke's Bay has to offer:
• 5 mins drive up to the top of Te Mata Peak giving outstanding views over the Hawkes Bay region.
• The Hawke's Bay Trails network covers 200km of cycling and walking off-road pathways, the largest network of easy cycle paths in New Zealand. The trails link Napier and Hastings, as well as coastal and country settlements.
• 10 mins to Hastings, home to Splash Planet and with its exceptional year round Sunday Farmers Market located at the AandP Showgrounds 8am-12pm weekly
• 20 mins to Napier, famous for its Art Deco architecture, art galleries and Museum and home to the National Aquarium
• 15 mins to Haumoana and Te Awanga with their coastal cycle ways, wineries and restaurants
• 20 mins to Ocean Beach - a beautiful white sand beach
• 35 mins to Waimarama Beach - another white sandy beach and legendary fish and chips at the local store.
• Other attractions include Black Barn Winery (5mins drive) which hosts world class concerts and other events and the very popular Village Growers Market every Saturday morning over the Summer.

Lovely place to stay

Fantastic place to stay, very convenient to town. Lots of space for young children to olay. The house has everything you need and was lovely having milk in the fridge upon arrival. Only thing missing was a washing machine. Thank you will be back.

Happy times in Havelock North

We stayed in the house for 1 week. It is exceptionally clean and it is styled beautifully. The house has everything that a young family needs. We had a lot of fun and happy times staying in this perfectly located house.

Great Property

This property meets all our requirements plus some. It has a great location very close to Havelock North and all of its attractions. This trip we went from 19 degrees temperature to 4 days and nights of high temperatures, consistently 30 degrees down to about 21 degrees ovenight but we were very comfortable in this house. Thanks Alex for a great place, well stocked and super clean and for being a great communicator.

Havelock 3 day stay

The property was just what we needed for my partner and I and our two dogs. It was comfortable, secure, in a quiet neighborhood yet close to amenities and fully fenced for our dogs. We would certainly book this property again.

Excellent property, fantastic location!

This property is lovely, spacious and clean. Tastefully decorated and has a lovely large backyard perfect for our little Schnauzer to run around in. It’s location is great too. Within walking distance to the village, playground and skate spark. Less than 3 minutes by car to the supermarket. Beds are comfortable, good water pressure in the shower and the kitchen is well equipped. Nothing to fault, and would definitely stay again.

Very well appointed, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with a bit of style thrown in. The house is much more spacious than the photos show. Lovely kitchen and bathroom. It is also very handy to Havelock Village, which has some great restaurants/cafes. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful and comfortable in Havelock North

GREAT Location, very comfortable and clean.

This is our second trip here and we really enjoy everything about this home and location. It is so well-located being very close to Havelock North village. The home is peaceful, very clean and comfortable, with great living and kitchen facilities and the deck gives access to a fully fenced property with large lawn and garden areas in both sunshine and shade. Alex is a great communicator.

We were so appreciative to have such a clean, comfortable, warm,well located and peaceful home to stay in. The kitchen / living areas were great, the beds were comfortable and the deck was big and gave easy access to the large, fenced, private back lawn and garden which we also really enjoyed. Off street parking in a quiet street and minutes from the centre of Havelock North, this place ticked all the boxes for us and our Shih Tzu dog.

Lovely house but let down by rather basic bathroom.

This is a nice house close to the centre of Havelock Nth about 10 mins walk. The living room and kitchen are comprehensively equipped and comfortable with an interesting garden-I’ve never seen a walnut growing. The bedrooms are large with comfortable beds and there is parking at the front door. The bathroom is serviceable but quite dated. We enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic place to stay!

A wonderful host, great house and super-convenient location. The house was clean and really well equipped with huge rooms and a lovely back garden. Alex could not have been more helpful, arranging an early check in and responding quickly to messages. The location is perfect, moments from Havelock North for eating out etc, a quick drive to Waimarama and Ocean Beach for surfing and swimming, a stone's throw from the awesome outside pool and very close to the tracks up Te Mata Peak. Totally perfect for our family!

Property good, HomeAway/Bookabach not good

The house was very clean and comfortable. The owner was very responsive to emails and texts - she went out of her way for our stay, and that was greatly appreciated. I would book this house again, but I would not use HomeAway/ Bookabach again - the website (when booking) is not informatove of costs/break down. This is a 3 bedroom house advertised to sleep a maximum of 6 people, but the rate per night is only applicable to 2 people - more than 2 people is charged at a high rate per person which is just added at the end when you see a break down of costs. This is not a crticism of the owner in any way. The website was unclear, i would go elsewhere.
