What a sweet little place on the lake. The personal touches in the home made it feel like you were visiting friends. My daughter would love to go back again!
We scheduled a last-minute trip to visit our granddaughter for Christmas. We picked this property due to its proximity to our daughter's home and our dog travels with us. We love the water, the house sits on the lake, and the view is amazing from the kitchen. The house is outdated and needs a deep cleaning. Our granddaughter enjoyed the ping pong table in the basement and she learned very quickly. The board games were a hit as well. Overall, the stay was okay but it was perfect after our grand was delivered. Thanks Carol.
This place just felt like home. Fully furnished in cozy furniture, ping pong table beautiful yard. Ping pong table in the basement, everything was just great. Amazing view of the lake.
This in not one of those cookie cutter rentals. It feels like going to Grandma's for the weekend, which is exactly what we wanted!
Original art by the owner decorates this amazing spot.
Owner is great and had great advice for things to do in the area as well.
The lake house is cozy and an excellent place to relax. The boat dock is also a plus, as we could dock our fishing boat and walk down the stairs to the water. There is also plenty of room outdoors to enjoy your company around the fire pit or the two large porches. Everything you need from town is just around the corner, and all the major cities are only twenty minutes in any direction.
I will be staying here again when I'm in the area. Also, Carol was a fantastic host. She was straightforward to work with when I needed to make date changes and was there if you needed anything for the house.
We loved our stay here! The view from the kitchen window is spectacular. It is rustic, which adds to the charm. The only suggestion I have is to upgrade the pots and pans. Coming back in October! Go Blue!!
We originally had a hotel booked to stay in Ypsilanti for our son’s swim meet but decided to check VRBO one last time just in case. We found Carol’s place and it had all that we needed to be able to relax, unwind, and take some time to recover.
It was perfect! It was such a comfortable feel and warming environment that we felt right at home. We were able to relax and make all the meals and enjoy all the time at the lake. Added bonus that we got to see the air show while we hung outside on Saturday and Sunday!
Carol is a great host for this property and made everything easy and seamless. Hands down we would, and hopefully will, stay again!
If you like vintage, this is the place to be. The entire house has old time charm. The host was very responsive and gracious, location was amazing. If I was to say anything negative about this place it would be the AC's upstairs, they are so loud and it was hard to sleep.
We had a nice stay. It was uncomfortably hot, so I would recommend bringing a fan. There are fans there, but it didn’t feel like enough. The rooms were all a great size. Other than the heat, it was a comfortable stay. We enjoyed bird watching and hanging out with a view of the lake.
The kitchen was adorable and had everything we needed!
Thank you so much Carol for sharing your wonderful place with us. Beautiful and spacious home with a wonderful view throughout the house of the lake. My boys loved fishing off the dock and caught many fish! All the beds were very comfortable. Quiet and pleasant neighborhood.
The house was clean and welcoming, with many little things that we haven't had with many of our VRBO rentals. Usually you have to buy all the little things like toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, etc. Carol had them all.
Yard is well kept, very inviting for our dogs and kids to play. Enjoyed nightly fires while looking at the lake. Beautiful lakes to cruise on and swim in.
If you are looking for a wonderful, peaceful place on the lake with their own dock, look no further. Whenever we visit here again, we will definitely rent from Carol. Thank you again!
I loved this place from the moment I walked in the door. Then as soon as my daughter (and son) saw the rooms and available "amenities," my daughter specifically told "me to make sure to leave the best review!" Thank you Carol for sharing your home with my family!
We enjoyed our stay on Belleville lake very much. The views from the yard, first and second floor windows were great. It was a bit chilly, but with the sun shinning we sat by the large windows and almost felt we were outside. We enjoyed watching the bald eagles, loons, and other waterfowl on the lake. We also enjoyed watching the crew team each day that launches across the lake. The home is lovely and suited our needs perfectly for our five day stay the beds are extremely comfortable and kitchen is fully equipped with great appliances, including the five burner gas oven. The neighborhood is lovely and very quiet. The 1.6 acre lot would be fun in the summer for games and picnics. We will be back!
Cleanliness of the property was disappointing to say the least. I recommend the owners fire their housekeeping staffs. Just to mention egregious cleanliness issue- somebody elses dirty socks were under the bed, unwashed dishes in the kitchen, dog pop laying around in the yard, linen not washed.
Furniture was old enough that I had to tell my 200lb husband to not sit on some of those chairs/ recliner with the fear of breaking and paying damage fees.
Everything else was perfect.
My initial concern was from past reviews about the cleanliness but when I contacted the owner she explained she has a new cleaning lady.
I can attest that the new cleaning lady is doing a GREAT job as the entire property was VERY clean.
Great location on the lake and owner was very responsive.
I highly recommend!
Beautiful, peaceful setting with view of the lake on a quiet street. Older home, but functional with ample bedrooms. Kitchen is spacious with updated appliances, but bottom cupboards have slight older home odor. Loved how the home was fully stocked with plenty of towels and linens and all the supplies you need such as dishwasher soap and trash bags and cleaning supplies.
