I cannot say enough about this beautiful home and location. The views of the river are just breathtaking. My husband and son enjoyed fishing. The fire pit area is so nice, we loved hanging out around it in the evenings. The home was large and comfortable, great place to gather with family.
The house is very nice and the beds are very comfortable just a couple of misses. Very close to being excellent. The lack of any sort of cable TV was a real issue as was the very weak Internet a few extra blankets would be a nice addition as well.
The most wonderful house. There were only 4 of us and so much space. The house was spotless. The location is the absolute best. We really enjoyed our stay with comforts of home.
Cabin is perfect. Roomy for 5 people. Easily roomy enough for up to 8 I would say. It's probably one of the best stays we have had in the area. Plenty of room for trucks, trailers and motorcycles. Beds were very comfortable and with 3 showers, more than enough for the fellers. Great fire pit in the back tops it off.
We enjoyed the stay and appreciate the hospitality. The house sits on a beautiful river in which we enjoyed some fishing and also time around the fire pit. Thank you!
The view of the river that is 20 feet from the back porch is so pretty and realxing. There was so much room for our large family. The cleanliness is very appreciated. We loved our stay and the nearby hikes and waterfalls.
Beautiful place beautiful house on the river. Thanks.

Spacious Riverside Home
The house is very spacious, with well thought out areas for a large family group. I was dismayed to find it it very close to the main road leading into the Lake Santeetlah area. We enjoyed the gorgeous river directly behind the house. Be aware that between the highway and the river, you must be on high alert with small children. The house could use a bit of maintenance, but overall it's a lovely property. One important thing: there was only a single shot Keurig for a large group property. COFFEE MATTERS, FOLKS! Haha, well it does to us. The listing stated a full sized coffee maker on site. Not so. Overall, it was a good stay. Beautiful area!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home! Rooms and bathrooms for all! The fire pit outside by the river was amazing (although the street light could be eliminated!) Kitchen was efficient- there is a Keurig (& a regular coffee maker), but no pods, so bring those along if you choose! Otherwise details were covered!
The home was just what we needed for our motorcycle trip! Ride all day, relax at night by the river and fire!
The owners have all the necessities; luggage racks, coat racks, firewood, and comfy furniture and beds! We were very happy and will easily recommend this gem on the Cheoah River! It was beautiful!
This is a great property with plenty of room for seven adults like we had for the past four days. The kitchen is nice and big and there are plenty of bathrooms and plenty of space for us all to hang around.
With a few minor upgrades, this would be an excellent rental. There was one mattress upstairs that needs to be replaced, the coffee maker is in desperate need of being upgraded, and I’m not so sure there’s anything you can do about it, but the Internet service is abysmal.
With just a little bit of attention, this could be the perfect getaway location.
This is by far the best rental property for the Tail of the Dragon. We starting renting this for our annual trips last year and will never rent another. Thank you for always being a dependable spot.
Our group regularly visits the area of Robbinsville for Tail of the Dragon events. This cabin is by far the best we have stayed at and always have it at the top of our choices when we are looking to book. It's close to Topoco Lodge and Deals Gap and just a few minutes away from town. Plenty of space to spread out and relax and enjoy the views.
The house is beautiful, spacious, well equipped, comfortable bedding - only draw back was mouse poo in one set of kitchen draws. Also, Since the house accommodates 11 people, the Keurig ought to hold water for more than one cup at a time.
The front porch, however, was very dirty, spider webs, piles of some animal feces. The storm door (first impression) had not been cleaned in a long time.
We swept up the dirt, webs, etc and wiped down the chairs so that we could sit out there. There were two hard metal chairs but no cushions so we sat on folded bath towels.
We were perplexed by how the inside could be so nice but the front porch be so neglected.
All in all, we would rent it again - believing these few issues will be addressed.
A fabulous house in a fabulous location! The perfect distance between Robbinsville and the Dragon. Our friend group of 9 stayed here comfortably with plenty of space. The home was clean and updated. We came to town for an annual Lexus F driving event, so parking was important to us and we loved the setup of the flat driveway and PLENTY of parking! Plenty of room for all the cars plus a truck and trailer. We hope to book it again next year!
The property was perfect for our needs. It was a relaxing place to roast marshmallows and reunite with family. The kitchen was supplied nicely for people who like to cook. The beds were very comfortable. The creek was so much fun to play in and explore. Thank you for the thoughtful in the details to make your guest feel welcome.
Excellent place. Beautiful creek/river in backyard. Great bedrooms and kitchen. and very clean. Ping-pong table too. Bring official balls though; the paddles were good.
Small glitch in getting inside the house due to keypad lock code not working, called manager for new code, got in, The area has no cellphone service and we could not get the Wi-Fi in the house because you get the password upon entrance to house. So…we had to go to a neighbor’s house to make a phone call via Wi-Fi to get the keypad lock code changed. Not a huge problem but maybe they should give you the Wifi password the day of your trip?
But overall great place, highly recommended, great location on hwy 129 not far from Robbinsville, Tapoco Tavern, and the two favorite motorcycle routes. I’d go back for sure. All of my riding group liked the place a lot, maybe our favorite of several we have rented.
My family had a wonderful time Memorial Day Weekend. It was fun watching the cars and bikes head to the Tail of the Dragon. We also got to see a few kayakers on the river. I highly recommend this property for your next stay in the Robbinsville, NC area.
This home is beautiful and the location on the river is perfect for a relaxing vacation. We stayed here four nights while enjoying all the twisty mountain roads in the area. The home will sleep 9 adults comfortably (we had 8 with a spare twin bed).
As other reviewers have mentioned, there is NO cell service at the property, and the wi-fi leaves a lot to be desired. The internet speed is about 1 Mbps and the router lost connection numerous times during our stay. Fortunately, Tapoco Lodge has great wi-fi and excellent food just a few miles away, so we made it work. Hopefully Starlink will be available in the area soon.
One other minor issue is with privacy in the upstairs bedrooms. You have to walk through the single queen room to get to the triple twin room. The queen room seems large enough to add a partition wall to separate the rooms.
Overall, the home is in a perfect location to relax and disconnect from reality. The proximity to the Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, and Moonshiner 28 is exceptional. There is a ton of parking space for 10+ cars or even more motorcycles. We'll definitely stay here again.
This place was perfect for our family. Everything as advertised, clean, roomy, comfortable, and well equipped,. The river frontage was a joy every day. The firepit great each night. A beautiful home in a beautiful spot.
Our family of 9 stayed here for 5 nights through the thanksgiving holiday. The pictures don’t do the house justice. VERY clean for my very “particular” bunch. Plenty of room. Enjoyed ping pong, listening to the river, and watching football together. Comfy beds and couches . My husband forgot his tablet, toiletries and some shirts. The staff was so friendly and kind to send it back to us. The only complaint my group had was that the Wi-Fi was slow if more than a couple of people were on it . I would highly recommend this property! 😊
Very large paved driveway can accommodate 8 or more cars, located directly between Robbinsville and Deals Gap right off of US-129. River behind the property is just a few steps away, firepit is incredible, ping pong table in the game room and home audio system are a great bonus. DSL internet is on the slow side but fairly reliable (duringa week's stay we had to restart the modem twice). No cellular coverage but there is a house phone. Have stayed here multiple times and will be back again!
