About this property
Rita's Lodge - Stunning Waterfront Canal Getaway
Step into a bygone era at Rita's Lodge on Hood Canal. Warm woods, exquisite interior brickwork and classic style greet you, along with deer and antelope gracing the walls. The welcoming, spacious interior offers an exceptional getaway where you'll share a memorable time with friends and family.
ABOUT RITA'S LODGE
From your first approach to the house, you'll know you are here for an unusual and special stay. The circular drive welcomes you and, as you step down to enter through the front door, you're greeted by a friendly bear and tinkling fountain. Open the front door and you are greeted to wonderful, traditional, plush furnishings, vaulted ceilings, and the owner's past hunting achievements gracing the walls.
One wall of the living room has a massive brick fireplace and mantel, and overstuffed sofas, perfectly placed to watch an evening fire in the hearth.
Up a couple of steps from the living room, is a generous dining area, with table, chairs and sliding doors to the two-story deck, which has plenty of outdoor furniture thoughtfully arranged for morning coffee, evening cocktails or al fresco dining.
Step through the brick archway into the kitchen, which features a cooktop with grill, wall oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, plus all the pots, pans and tableware you'll need to create some great meals for your group. They'll be excited to sit at the breakfast bar overlooking the kitchen to chat and watch meal preparation.
WHAT GUESTS SAY
"This is an incredible home with so much to offer. We are so lucky to have been able to stay and enjoy it, both inside and out. And, we can't wait to come back. We're hoping to see some orca next time!" ~ Alice
MORE ABOUT RITA'S LODGE
There are plenty of things to do inside as well as out. The den features a full-sized pool table, where you can practice your Willie Mosconi moves. There are also a dart board, flat screen television with games and two sofas, when you're inclined to curl up with a good book.
When it's time for bed, head off to one of the four bedrooms, all with queen-sized beds. The master also has an ensuite bathroom and sliding doors to the upper story deck. Desks for remote work are available, as well. The home's two additional bathrooms have either a shower or tub. One shower is a walk-in with seating and double shower heads.
Step outside on the deck and enjoy looking out over Hood Canal, where you may see bald eagles, dolphins and, maybe, even orca. Indulge in a game of horseshoes, or take the stairs (carefully) down to the water, where you can enjoy shrimping, on specific days in the summer and with a proper licenses.
Sorry, pets are not accepted at this property.
