The space
We offer an extremely private open-plan studio with separate entry beneath our home for guests' exclusive use. The owners live above. Suitable for singles or couples, corporate and traveller friendly with easy on-street parking. A one-minute walk to Hobson Bay or a ten-minute walk to link buses and Parnell which has many delicious eating options, including cafes, wine shops and restaurants. Newmarket Westfield Mall is also close by for retail, cinemas and supermarket.
We supply a daily simple continental breakfast and wifi. The 40sqm space includes a queen bed, wardrobe, dining and serving space, lounge with couch, armchair, ottoman and smart TV. The ensuite bathroom enjoys a powerful shower, heated towel rack and large sink which can be used to wash dishes. The studio has elevated garden views and art lovers will enjoy the design notes and contemporary artworks. You will have an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, wardrobe and large refrigerator. NOTE there is no kitchen sink or cooking facilities, yet we have all you need for that getaway or business trip - microwave, toaster, kettle, Nespresso machine, milk frother, crockery, utensils, and dish rack.
Guest access
Access to the studio is via a latched gate at streel level leading to a mixture of 27 stairs and a sloped path up to the studio landing on the front face of the house. Door access is keyless via a digital touchpad.
Other things to note
Continental self-service breakfast:
~ muesli
~ milk (oat milk available on request)
~ chilled canned fruit
~ toast bread (oatmeal and vogels multigrain)
~ spreadable butter
~ spreads: marmalade, jam and vegemite
~ selection of Twinning teas
~ selection of Nespresso pods (including decaf)
• There are 27 steps and a sloping path to the house. The studio may not be suitable for those who cannot carry a heavy suitcase or who are over 2.1m tall.
• The street is 120min parking-permitted 8am-4pm Mon-Fri. If guests will be parked for longer than 2hrs on a weekday a $10 per day parking permit can be arranged.
• There are chickens in an enclosed coop in the front yard, so this may not be the place for you if you have a bird phobia. They can cluck when they wake around 7am or lay an egg. They are friendly and will enjoy your toast leftovers.
• Laundry and drying is available on request and has a $10 per load fee.
• Early luggage drop-off by arrangement.
