About this property
Sunny & tranquil house by the beaches and MTB Park!
Classic kiwi bach in a quiet location yet close to all the action!
This is the perfect down-to-earth bach/holiday get-away! Positioned for all day sun in a quiet location away from all the noise but yet close enough to walk to and from all the seaside attractions. Large and spacious, there is plenty of room and seating areas to spread out and relax in with separate lounges for the kids and the adults, or for two families staying together.
At the bottom of the driveway, you can go paddleboarding or kayaking at high tide around the protected sandy inlet, and 50 meters away you have access to a fantastic bush-covered mountain bike park that is suitable for all skill levels - even boasting a pump track for the kids too. Additional free parking is also available for large boats or extra vehicles at the park as well if need.
A 5 minute stroll away and you are at the Inlet entrance which makes for safe swimming, or there is bridge jumping, kayaking or boogie-boarding during high tide for the more adventurous folk. The Inlet entrance is part of the main Kaiteriteri beach with Little Kaiteriteri being located a further 5 minute walk over the headland, past the lookout.
10 minutes walk, and you are able to make your ferry or aqua taxi bookings into the Abel Tasman National Park, with boat pick-up right from the main Kaiteriteri beach.
The nearby attractions of our location:
- Multiple golden sandy beaches - only 5-10 minutes walk away
- Ferries into Abel Tasman National Park which depart from the main beach
- Paddleboarding or Kayaking (available for hire at the beach or please BYO)
- Mountain Bike Park and Pump Track (bikes are available for hire at the Beach or please BYO)
- Bar/Cafe/Restaurant/Takeaway & Shop only 5-10 minute walk away
- Bush Walks to explore
- 18 hole mini golf course
- Children's playground and a separate flying fox
- Eco Resort & Spa with a Vegetarian Restaurant only 5 minute walk away
- Glow worm walk at the Eco Resort
- Waka Tours - Learn about the rich local Maori history via a hands on tour in a Waka (Traditional Maori canoes)
Guests love it here as it is the perfect tranquil space to relax and unwind and do as much or as little as you want. Perfect for peaceful morning coffees, BBQ dinner's (gas) or quiet sundowners on the deck, this magic spot will help you unwind, recharge and enjoy.
Bach layout:
Downstairs is the main lounge (also with inlet views), full kitchen, dining room, main bathroom, and laundry as well as the 3rd bedroom, which has both a double and single bed in it.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms with Queen beds (including Master with full ensuite and walk through wardrobe) and a 2nd lounge surrounded by wrap around decks and views over the inlet and towards the main beach, or to the hills and the Eco Resort (Kimi Ora).
Outside there are two terraces so enough room for a couple of vehicles and a small boat or jet ski. For larger boats, there is free public parking at the mountain bike park with the entrance being located only 50 meters away.
Please note that the property is not fenced and there is up to a 2.4 meter drop-off from parts of the driveway and therefore it is unsuitable for children under the age 6. If you do have young children (by way of prior arrangement only), please ensure that they are supervised at all times - especially given the proximity of the sea as well.

About the host
Hosted by Rachel

We are a family of four who live in nearby Richmond, Tasman. We love creating memories with our family and friends and being outdoors either camping/tramping/fishing/swimming/paddle boarding/mountain biking is a great way to do so together.
We also love international travel so meeting people from other parts of the world is great as it gives us the opportunity to return the wonderful hospitality that we experienced while overseas.

Why they chose this property
As a busy family of four, we love getting away to the bach and beach to unwind. We feel that Kaiteriteri is a perfect place to do this, as it is so peaceful surrounded by the forest; yet is next to the beaches and has a lot going for it in terms of the great outdoors. Swimming, paddle boarding, eating real fruit ice creams, mountain biking, kayaking, bush walks and fishing to name just a few!
That said, when the day is done and you are enjoying relaxing on the deck with a sundowner, listening to the native birdlife, and all of a sudden you don't feel like cooking, then there are some great restaurants within walking distance to enjoy instead.

What makes this property unique
With two totally separate lounges, wrap around upper balcony, a large outdoor deck with a large BBQ and dining area - there is a lot of space for everyone to spread out and relax in without disturbing others.
All of this private space is yours, while you over look the Inlet where you can easily pop a paddleboard in at the bottom of the driveway at high-tide - not to mention enjoying the ever changing views while being surrounded by the native birdsong - this place was made to relax and enjoy your time at the beach!
All of this is a close and safe and flat walking distance to the Bay's facilities of:
A shop
Restaurants
Spa retreat
Mini golf
A Childrens playground (complete with a flying fox)
A mountain bike park and pump track
Paddleboard, Kayak and Mountain Bike hire
Aqua Taxis and Cruises into the Abel Tasman National Park
