About this property
LakeTrail Modern Cabin Apt / Hot tub (opt) LT5
Summary:
Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable forest escape. Soak in your private outdoor hottub ($50 setup fee). Walk to the Overlook for a romantic sunset or hike down to Lake Gratitude. Sit outside on the patio sipping your morning coffee as the rising sun enlightens the nearby hills. Large room lots of afternoon sun. Sitting porch with stunning view of forest. NO PETS
The Space:
The Lake Trail cabin apartment was crafted out of the lower floor of the pre-existing four bedroom Lake Trail House. It is self-contained and separated from the pre-existing structure. The master bedroom of the LakeTrail house is above you but no one can see or hear what goes on it the cabin. Your private hot tub is just outside your door and offers a great view of the surrounding forest.
Guest Access:
Walk down the forest trail to Lake Gratitude where you can hike around the lake, visit the beaver area, or have a picnic at the Lakeside Shelter. You may also cross the road and visit the Fork Inn's Creekside Park and its shelter. Two thousand gallon stock tanks are available from May to October. You may fish with a state license (smail mouth bass, bluegill). You may also contact the Center for Sustainable Stewardship for access to bicycles, canoes, kayaks, oars, and paddles. All Fork Inn guests are encouraged to explore the 1.2 mile Fork Inn Trail that crosses the creek several times.
The Neighborhood:
This lodging is part of the Fork Inn, which lies at the beginning of a pristine creek within a gorgeous valley. All Fork Inn guests may walk around Lake Gratitude, explore miles of hiking trails and creek, and use our stock-tank pools at the farm shelter.
Enjoy biking, hiking, canoeing, massage, yoga and more! Nearby Big East Fork Farms downstream provides organic produce.
We are located 20 miles from downtown Nashville, 8 miles from historic Franklin (old time Main Street, fancy restaurants, boutique shopping), 7 miles from Leiper's Fork (Distillery tours, Fox & Locke Live Music - don't miss Thursday night's open mic) and light years away from the stress of city life. The Fork Inn is part of a 2000-acre Conservation easement and features a 8-acre lake, miles of creek, and many meadows and hiking trails. There is bicycle and walking access onto the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway within a mile. We are adjacent to the Center for Sustainable Stewardship with has many hiking trails, bicycles, and an organic farm. Meet Rosie the Donkey, Winston the cow, and the piggies !
Bicycles and kayaks/canoes are available from the Center for Sustainable Stewardship a short walk away. Big East Fork Farms has organic vegetables and a variety of sweet farm animals to meet and feed.
Other Things to Note:
The entire cabin is private and for your use only. There are two other cabins under the same roof, each with private entrances, and private porches. Because these lodgings are in a forest, we consider them to be cabins. They have been designed to be private and the only time you will encounter others is on the incoming driveway area. If you would like to not have anyone in an adjacent unit, you may be able to unlist the neighboring cabin (at a fee of $150/night). Unit LT1 is located above LT5. All outdoor hot tubs are private and may be used only with their specific renters.
