White Cliffs by the bay – Our peaceful abode

"Just like home away from your home"
Two minute walk to the beach "White Cliffs Foreshore" (formally Tyrone Foreshore) it is at the end of our street. The home is located in a prime location and close to all amenities on the glorious Mornington Peninsula. If you are a beach lover, Port Philip Bay is on your doorstep – we are talking a hop, skip and a jump to scuba diving, snorkelling and other fun-filled water sports. You will be so-close to the cafes and restaurants that the Peninsula is famous for and Blairgowrie, Sorrento, Portsea and all of the Peninsula’s famous wineries are all just a short drive away. Weekend markets, Point Nepean National Park, golf courses, Alba and Peninsula Hot Springs, Cape Schanck, coastal walks, surf beaches, the Enchanted Adventure Garden and Ashcombe Maze & Lavender Gardens, so much to do, so much to see, so little time!

Adjoining our main residence where we reside, the home comfortably sleeps 9 consisting of two separate and private levels.

Ground Level has a separate entrance (a ramp offers easy wheelchair access). Upon entry you are inside a galley style living area with a 65 inch smart TV and niches with artwork. There are cabinets that form a mini stone top kitchen accommodating appliances such as a, refrigerator, kettle, toaster, and cutlery. Some dinnerware, glasses, washing machine and a kitchen sink plus a microwave oven.
A small table and chairs for that morning coffee.
A newly renovated bathroom is at the back just off the kitchen area it contains a clothes dryer.
Central there is a double bedroom and at front a bedroom with a bunk bed (2 x singles).

Parking for two cars at front is available.

First Floor Level is accessed by a staircase on the right of the building’s landing, you are on a comfortable balcony with an outdoor setting and a 4 burner BBQ.
Upon entering the house, you are now in the living room, a 65 inch smart TV is on the wall, a timber dining setting seats 8 and a fully equipped new stone top kitchen and air conditioner.
Bedroom 1 has a queen size bed and bedroom 2 has bunk bed with a double bed on bottom and single on top.

Our home is specifically set up for families and mature aged guests and unfortunately, we do not accommodate Young single groups or "Schoolies" groups.

Ideal loctation!

We had two families with teens and little kids stay in this property. There was definitely enough room for everyone. The upstairs and downstairs of the property are two seperate apartments connected by stairs on the outside of property. Other than a small table on the balcony there isn’t really a place to sit outside. The location is perfect with a two minute walk to the cleanest beach on the peninsula! It’s also only a 15 minute walk to the Rye main drag. The owner Alf was easy to deal with and very accomodating. Would definitely stay again.

About the host

Host profile image
I am a retired builder and like nothing better than to go for a swim or walk anytime that I choose, whether I am working at home or simply needing to relax by the water.
My country of birth is Malta and living here reminds me of home surrounded by water, walking paths and an easy walk to most of what the area has to offer.

Why they chose this property

I moved here permanently in 2016 after living in the hub of Melbourne, the area is unique in that it is quiet and relaxing to be here and do anything I wish with ease.
I no longer miss the crazy hustle and bustle of the city.

What makes this property unique

The property is literally a two minute walk to the beach which is at the end of our street, the shoreline is lined with unique and colorful beach boxes.
The beach is the cleanest on the entire coastline and an easy walk to Blairgowrie and Sorrento along the waters edge or by track alongside the shoreline.
