Return Stay

Although the property is looking a bit tired in places, all the essentials like the kitchen, air conditioning and master bed are in excellent condition. Saskia & Kelvin who manage the property are very helpful and resolved a minor issue on our arrival. The building/demolition works near the beach and restaurant's was not too intrusive during our stay?

Nice place to stay

Enjoyed the villa and position on the water as we could watch the boats coming in and out of the harbour. Villa is nicely upgraded making it easy to make meals in house. Will definitely be back!

Great location everything you need

This property has a perfect location. It’s a few minutes walk to the beach. Walkable to several restaurants and the grocery store. The golf cart is nice for the area especially evening after dinner. A car is needed to get around the island . I highly recommend very compact but with a bottom clearance as there are lots of speed bumps and potholes (we blew out two tires in our small rental 20 minutes into the drive but thankfully Tario who was set up by the property owner came to the rescue very quickly). The condo itself has a nicely upgraded kitchen that we utilized and found everything needed. The bedrooms are roomy and the beds were quite comfy. We did contact the management company regarding a few items in need of repair. They were willing to come take care of immediately but we chose to work with it and keep our vacation unbothered. This condo is not fancy and brand new but it’s very nice and has everything needed for an enjoyable holiday. Wolfgang is easily reachable to answer questions and we thank him for letting us enjoy his great place!

Fabulous location.

The position of this property is wonderful with the boats from the marina passing by. The beach is within walking distance and we enjoyed eating our meals on the verandah area. Would recommend staying in this property.

Pelican Plunge, Jolly Harbout, Antigua

Lovely property on the water. Kitchen was new and more than adequate with everything being provided. Happy to have onsite washing machine and clothes line as many places don’t. Dinning/ living room and patio are great. Up stairs bedrooms are good size and beds very comfortable although pillows were too soft to be practical. The main bedroom has a balcony and wonderful sunrise views over the harbour. Bathrooms are a bit old and tired but it looks like property is being slowly renovated. Propery could do with more plug ins for USB ports and note all plug outlets are European. Property mangement company were great and provided us with correct plug for my Canadian hearing aid charger. Small thing to note is no outside signage stating ‘Pelican Plunge’ and sign on golfcart garage said something different so look for house number rather than name. Wolfgang the owner, and although in another country, has been approachable and helful throughout which I’ve appreciated. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Excellent stay

Location just cannot be beaten. Easy to get to beach - 5 mins walk from villa. Recommend hiring a buggy to get to restaurants and supermarkets - can we walked in 15/20 mins but in heat and for ease, buggy or car is easier. Every amenity needed in the property. Could have done with more handwash in bathrooms - tiny amount left in all bathrooms but only a minor point.

Got Conned

Termite infestation. Owners agent knew about 3 days before we arrived. I could have booked elsewhere. Termites and flying termites all over kitchen worktop and floor every day. Also in one of the beds. BBQ not safe and unusable. Not fit for habitation. This place needs full renovation. Shower grate cuts your feet. Showers terrible. Could not get hold of the keys for a few hours as the agents phone was not taking calls. The washing machine stand our cloths even though its a new top loader machine. All kitchen utensils dirty. Termite dust in all kitchen cupboards and under the bed. The owner gave me a £500 refund but that no way good enough. We had to clean the kitchen several times a day. Its disgusting. Now owner will not answer emails. As he thinks £500 is enough 25% refund. its needs to be a full refund at least. We should be compensated for dealing with this rubbish. All could have been avoided if they let us know so we could book elsewhere. Very bad service and property. The owner will no sought give an excuse. But you cant excuse this. He should have told us. Property not as described and no BBQ we was looking forward to, especially because the high prices eating out. As hes not emailing back I will have to take legal action.

Best view ever!

We had a wonderful time! The deck view is amazing! Very nicely located to the beautiful white sand beach and Restaurants. We will definitely be coming back!

Great Location

This is the second time we have stayed at this villa. It is in a great location. The patio has been extended so there is a large outdoor area which is excellent for having breakfast, lunch and a few drinks after returning from the beach.

Don't do it to yourself,,

Very confusing communication between an owner and a non existent property host. No one greeted us. Several issues first 4 days and no one would come to the property to resolve. Place was dirty. Very disappointing stay to say the least. Would not recommend.

Relaxing weeks break

The Villa is in a great location, near the entrance to Jolly Harbour and a 5 minute walk to the South Beach. I didn't have any problems with the Villa and, in particular, the patio door mentioned in a previous post has now been fixed. Nicely furnished with 2 outside tables and bbq, the latter unused by me because of the close location of several good restaurants. I hired a bicycle from Paradise Boat Rentals and this makes getting around the Marina and to the other local beaches as far as Turners very easy. Sad to see some places closed at present, notably Bodogs (Castaways), Mellinis , even the Starfish Jolly Beach hotel, but I guess it's a sign of the times we are living in.

Holiday with family

The entire island has strict COVID procedures which made us feel safe and comfortable. The home is located in a great area close to the beach. The house was beautiful but there were a few things that needed attention prior to our stay and some of those things actually had to get fixed while we were there. These things included; the patio door did not lock, the patio door knob was broken, the AC in the common area was leaking, shower in the smaller bedroom was also leaking, AC in the larger bedroom was not getting cold, toilet seat lid was broken in the downstairs bathroom, and there was no kitchen cooking essentials like the basic salt, pepper, oil. Nonetheless, we did enjoy our stay and if those things get fixed especially the patio door because that was a bit nerve wrecking staying there with an unlock entry, I would recommend this place but please get that door fixed.

Great Position

The villa is in a great position, right on the main route in and out of the marina which gives a good view of the boats leaving and entering the harbour. The patio has been extended making it about 30 feet long. There is a table with a marble top at the marina end of the patio and another table by the patio doors. We arrived at the villa on the day the Antigua government imposed a curfew at 8 pm with restaurants only allowed to sell take away meals. We ate breakfast, lunch and our take away dinner on the patio. There is also a gas BBQ which we used a few times rather than getting a take away. Due to the curfew we spent more time at the villa than we would have done otherwise and would have no hesitation in booking Pelican Plunge for a future holiday.

Needs Some TLC

This villa has such great potential given its wonderful location but unfortunately is in desperate need of having many deficiencies addressed. We did bring a number of concerns large and small to the attention of TT Villas and the owner but, would not book again at this villa without confirmation the issues have all been dealt with.
