Stroll the length of the beach to the jetty at Youngs Point where you can see the sunset, moonrise, nearby Greenport village, Shelter Island, and the ferry! Birding enthusiasts can view endangered terns and plovers in their nesting area along the beach. Majestic osprey can often be seen nesting and fishing here.

Gorgeous Greenport on Gull Pond!

Rosemary’s extraordinary home, on scenic Gull Pond, satisfied our perfect hospitality “3 Cs”; it was Charming, Clean, and Convenient (walk to a beautiful bay beach, town, wineries, tennis, golf, everything!)! Rosemary was so gracious and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our month long stay! Thank you!

Beach Day Everyday

We loved our stay at this house. It was very clean, well thoughout, and spacious. We spent most most of our time on the enclosed back patio (basically an extension to the house). A family of deers passed by often in the backyard and even came to say goodbye on our checkout day. The best feature of this house is it’s close proximity to the beach, 3 minutes walk. For us, it was basically a beach day everyday. We enjoyed the seafood restaurant options in the area. Rosemary, the owner, is on top of things and was more willing to help with every detail, request or concern. Hope to come back soon!!!

Great Location for Beach and Restaurants

The house was in a great location as it is a 5 min walk to the beach. You need a permit to park in the beach lot but walk is easy enough so it is not an issue. Many great restaurants in the town of Greenport and surrounding areas.

When I was 2 years old my mom and dad bought the property at 1075 Inlet Lane. There was nothing but woods along the road, no neighbors, no lights. My dad built the house, from the ground up, over several years and I have lived in it through all stages of its construction, even before there was a roof, or plumbing! Growing up on the North Fork provided an idyllic childhood and a lifetime of happy memories. Needless to say, I am emotionally attached, and I want to share! I hope renting the house will give people the opportunity to visit and discover a bit of that North Fork magic. Greenport village has transformed from a sleepy fishing village into a bustling resort town. While the property is still largely wooded and very private, downtown is close enough to walk to. The nearby beach is magical. The North Fork is one of the most beautiful and fun places to spend your vacation time.

Why they chose this property

Walking distance to a public beach with toilets and a lifeguard.
Quiet, secluded, wooded, but nicely landscaped. You can almost see water, if not for the trees. Large Oak trees all around the house are beautiful and majestic and provide cooling shade in the summer. Walk, bike, or drive to busy downtown Greenport (2~ miles)

What makes this property unique

No parking pass needed if you walk to the nearby beach (5 min). Two bicycles are provided for visiting town or other nearby beaches.
