About this property
The Good Place: cute cottage with lush garden. Walk to cafes, brewery & shops.
If you love art, charm, and beauty—and enjoy being able to stroll to your morning coffee or evening cocktail—The Good Place is the perfect place for you. Nestled on a tranquil dirt road lined with towering pines, you’re a 5 minute walk to Balnarring village, where you'll find some of the best restaurants on the peninsula, cute cafes, a cocktail bar, a pub, supermarket, a brewery and gorgeous boutiques. Better yet, peaceful Balnarring beach is a 3 minute drive away. A (very) good holiday awaits.
We’ve set out to create a beautiful and genuinely special experience that offers incredible value, convenience and comfort.
The Good Place is proud to offer you:
* Supreme comfort with high quality bedding and pillows, gorgeous professionally laundered linens and thick towels
* Inspiration through books, original art, vintage board games and fresh cut flowers
* Bespoke locally made furniture using rare Australian timbers
* Space to unwind with a huge, lush garden brimming with herbs, rare perennials and beautiful birdlife
* A great morning brew with a funky Swedish Sjostrand coffee machine, coffee pods and oat milk on the house
* A hamper with snacks, tea and a booklet about our favourite things to do in the area
*Vibes aplenty with rugs and lamps galore
We have joyfully created a space that feels like a warm hug as soon as you walk through the door. A place that feels like home.
Featured in The Urban List’s best Victorian B&Bs, the house has two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a queen.
The bathroom is refreshed, simple and small, featuring a separate shower and bath and a separate toilet. We also have a little laundry with a washing machine, Kin Kin laundry liquid, iron, ironing board and laundry sink for handwashing. We have a covered clothesline out the back.
We have a log fire and provide one bag of firewood per booking from May to September (inclusive). We have a split system which cools and heats the house beautifully, as well as an oil heater and fans.
In summer the house is beautifully cooled by the shade of large gums and pines and when paired with the aircon, the house offers respite from summer heat.
PLEASE NOTE:
For bookings of 2 people where the second bed is required, we charge a flat fee of $35 for your stay. We have all linens professionally laundered and pass on only a small portion of this cost to groups of two who require a second bed.
Extra bags of firewood can be arranged for an additional cost, please let us know when you book if you would like to purchase extra wood for your stay.
PET INFO:
We know that pets are fam too, and most of our guests bring their fur babies with no issues at all.
We welcome pets to TGP with the following caveats:
- Please let us know if you plan to bring a fur baby and include some info about their breed and age, we especially love a photo! (NB: young and super rambunctious dogs are generally a no no)
- Please add your pet to the booking as there is an additional cleaning fee to compensate for paw prints, pet hair and snoot marks on windows etc
- We do not have a securely fenced yard, so your pup will need to be content to spend most of the time inside with you (another reason why high energy or very young dogs are generally not suited to TGP)
- We do not allow pets on the beds or furniture, pet hair can be a real nightmare to get out of bed linens, doona covers and couch cushions.
We really appreciate you helping us to keep TGP a pet friendly place for a long time to come!
Everyone is welcome at TGP 💛.
