The couple’s combined 20 years of professional hospitality experience, coupled with extensive travel to more than 26 countries and 40 states, helped inspire a desire to create a one-of-a-kind guesthouse that seamlessly blends a carefree guest experience with a training, development, and strategic executive retreat environment.

Canalside Inn was constructed just feet from the sandy shoreline in Rehoboth Beach, DE. In 1969, the building was lifted off the ground and moved to its current location at 34 Sixth St., Rehoboth Beach, DE 1971.

"We absolutely loved our stay at Canalside Inn. Me and my boyfriend are first time dog parents and we really wanted to bring our puppy to the beach. Canalside allows pets, but even better they even offer dog walking during the day if you head out and need someone to check on the pup. A lot of other guests had their pups with them too so it was so nice to meet the other dogs and have waffles be able to socialize with the other pups. We loved the environment too, everyone was so laid back, helpful, and everything was so easy, they have a system where you text them with whatever you need, whether check-in, fresh towels, dog walking, etc, simply text and someone is there to help. Also great in COVID since we didn’t want people in and out of our room we turned down house keeping and just texted whenever we needed things. All of this really made our whole experience relaxing. The additional amenities like the dog walking or in room massages is such a bonus love that. We felt so comfortable, loved the other guests, it was just a great experience. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Rehoboth."
