About this property

Little Edie charming architect designed cottage

A gorgeous, free-standing two level stables converted into a chic, fully self contained cottage in the heart of Paddington's leafy streets, Little Edie is an architecturally designed jewel box for grown ups providing the perfect place to rest and relax during your next visit to Sydney. Centrally located, it is two blocks from Oxford Street's boutiques, bars, restaurants, public transport and just a few minutes from the city, sports stadiums and glorious beaches.
The space
A bright and spacious ground floor living space with dining area and adjacent kitchen "magician's box" featuring integrated fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and induction cooktop. Open the sliding barn doors to the courtyard garden, with its pretty terra cotta pots and fresh herbs at your disposal, the Weber gas BBQ is ready to be fired up. Upstairs is your huge suite, featuring King sized Fanuli bed dressed in Kenzo bed linen, a three meter bespoke daybed to curl up on, plenty of luggage storage, vast amounts of space to hang clothes and your exquisite bathroom, cloaked in amazing Japanese tiles and flooded in sunlight and fresh air, showering is an experience to savour.
Guest access
The entire cottage and courtyard - more than 100sqm in total - are yours to enjoy as you will without interruption.
Other things to note
Given the nature of the interiors and the stairs Little Edie is not suitable for children or pets and has been designed exclusively as a human grown ups getaway.

Host profile image
We have created a beautiful and unique space we enjoy sharing with people seeking to experience what makes this gorgeous part of Sydney so special. I am passionate about my hometown and love offering insider tips on where to go and what to do, equally we like to give guests the space to do it under their own steam.

Why they chose this property

Paddington is not only a very pretty neighbourhood, with so many beautiful examples of Victorian architecture and fabulous modern design too, it is also a vibrant hub with boutiques, bars, restaurants, galleries, cafes creating an eclectic atmosphere. Surrounded by green spaces including Centennial Park and Moore Park - it’s also very green, truly is an idyllic locality, super close to the city and fabulous beaches..

What makes this property unique

Little Edie was originally a stables from the 1880s and is a historical landmark. We rebuilt and sympathetically expanded it into the architectural cottage it is today. It is totally private and seperate to our main residence adjacent, set in its own peaceful garden and furnished with quality pieces including a king sized bed dressed in luxurious linen and a stunning bathroom cloaked in amazing Japanese mosaic tiles. We have invested both time and resources creating something special because that’s the kind of place we like to stay in.
