About this property
Boutique accommodation in the Motueka Valley
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay, close to the Motueka River surrounded by native bird song.
Recently renovated 2 bedroom home in the heart of the Motueka Valley, with the Motueka river running past the end of the driveway renowned for its trout fishing.
Fully equipped kitchen with oven, induction hob, dishwasher, full size fridge freezer and a heat pump to allow cool summer and cozy winter stays. The property has wifi and a smart TV to keep the family entertained.
The master bedroom has a superking bed with cozy cotton sheets, which looks out through double doors down the beautiful Motueka Valley, with the hot tub on the deck. In the bedroom there is a walk in wardrobe and access to the jack and jill bathroom shared with the second bedroom.
In the second bedroom there is a queen size bed with cozy cotton sheets and access to the jack and jill bathroom shared with the main bedroom.
The jack and jill bathroom has a shower room with electric heated towel rail, fan heater and a vanity unit with a demister mirror. An internal door leads to a separate toilet with vanity unit, and a washer dryer.
Outside you can enjoy listening to the sounds of the native birdsong and the mild tumbling of the Motueka river. Surrounded by a mixture of olive groves, fruit trees, exotic and native bush. Enjoy a dip in the river on those hot summer days with swimming holes plentiful along the Motueka river. In the evenings enjoy the peaceful hot tub looking down the valley or as night falls gazing at the nights sky watching the many shooting stars that pass or the milky way.
The property is on the doorstep of the Kahurangi Nation Park with many great walks to be enjoyed. The great taste cycle trail passes close by to the property with amazing scenery to be enjoyed along the way. The Baton Valley is a mere 10 minute drive or 1.5hr cycle ride from the property where you can enjoy an ice cream or coffee from the self service cycle stop or hop onto enjoy many scenic walks a little further down the drive.
Travel down highway for 10 minutes and you can enjoy a nice meal at the River Haven restaurant and pub. Tapawera is a 10 minute drive down the highway in the opposite direction where you can gain access to Wangapeka trails. Tapawera has a cafe and a four squares for amenties, we'd recommend getting a full food shop in Motueka which has all the main supermarkets and shops.
Abel Tamsan is a scenic 30 minute drive from the property, with access to some of the most beautiful beaches in the area. Nelson lakes is another beautiful one hour drive from the property with some amazing walks.
If a four legged friend is coming along for your stay we ask for you to please keep it under control at all times as we have poultry running around and livestock in the fields. We are on hand next door to the property if anything occurs during your stay however we will otherwise keep the privacy for you to enjoy a nice relaxing stay.
