About this property
Luxury eco-design waterfront fishing Batch with guests' vegetable garden.
There are still places in the world that are not laden with the footprints of the many. Places that are swaddled in the natural world, that supply us with the kindness of food and hark us back to a world that was full of slow simplicity and adventure. Putiputi iti is one such place. A luxury waterfront eco-design space with deep reverence to the natural world, embracing a more slow and considerate way of life. Putiputi iti is nestled on the cusp of the Kaipara harbour and Tasman Sea, the wild and free region of the Pouto peninsula. Set amongst the backdrop of a working waterfront farm that yearns to be explored. A humble and rudimentary mid-century fisherman’s shack has been meticulously restored and curated with a sincere environmental conscience to offer guests the luxury they need to feel rejuvenated. The external footprint and original farm milled timbers allow the space to immerse back into the surrounding natural environment, whilst the interior has been luxuriously reimagined. Recycled and organic design principles along with curated vintage finds offer the opulence you deserve with the homeliness you need. Catch fish out your front door, dig for cockles and pippies, forage in the guest’s garden for herbs and seasonal vegetables and cook till your heart’s content either indoors or out. Grab the vintage picnic set and lay with your love on the secluded beachfront till the kiss of the night sky beckons you home. Bring your horse and ride across the farm, beaches and beyond or better still book a guided horse trek and homemade picnic with local horsewoman Honeyrain Watene @nativeequine.h. Putiputi iti has been designed as a diverse interactive space and is cornucopia for the natural and slow world. Putiputi iti is luxury retro glam and old skool cool. Putiputi iti is leisurely, comforted by culture and embraced by nature.
