I am a grateful mom of 6 kids, a loving partner, and a caring friend. I am from the Netherlands, my partner and kids are from Belgium and we live in BC, Canada since 2018. Hosting is for me a way of connecting with different kind of people in an enjoyable way, support them in their getaway and share our beautiful space on this island. My mission is to support people in enhancing their health & joy, igniting a ripple effect that transforms the planet. My belief is that a healthy me creates a healthy planet, so nutrition, movement, and connection are important to my family. Bowen Island is home to me, nature and community are pillars that bring a smile to my face every day!

Why they chose this property

Bowen Island, a serene gem just a short ferry ride from Vancouver, offers an idyllic combination of natural beauty and a close-knit community that makes it an exceptional place to call home. Nestled amidst lush forests and surrounded by the sparkling waters of Howe Sound, this charming island is a haven for my family seeking harmony with nature and a sense of belonging.

Living on Bowen Island means embracing the great outdoors every day. The island is crisscrossed by scenic trails that invite us to explore towering cedar and fir forests, pristine beaches, and breathtaking viewpoints. Whether it's hiking up Mount Gardner for panoramic vistas, kayaking through calm coastal waters, or enjoying a tranquil moment by the shoreline, Bowen Island offers countless opportunities to connect with the natural world. Its rich biodiversity also provides a front-row seat to the wonders of wildlife, from eagles soaring overhead to playful seals in the harbor.

But Bowen Island isn't just about stunning landscapes—it's also about the people who call it home. The island's community is warm, welcoming, and deeply engaged. Our community takes pride in our vibrant local culture, which thrives through farmers' markets, art festivals, and community events that bring people together. It's a place where neighbours know one another, children grow up with a sense of safety, and everyone contributes to preserving the island's unique character. The spirit of collaboration and support is evident in initiatives to protect the environment, promote sustainability, and foster local businesses.

In essence, Bowen Island is more than a place—it's a way of life. Its natural splendor and the strong sense of community create an environment where we as residents can thrive, find inspiration, and build lasting connections.
