About this property

No cleaning fee! Our own designer home in Montreal's hip Sud-ouest borough, near Atwater Market, Old Montreal and downtown. Easily sleeps 6.
Americans are very welcome!

This is our own home that we enjoy renting out to guests who want to experience Montreal as locals. Our house is 175 years old and used to be a corner store (dépanneur). We renovated it in 1998-99. We added an induction stovetop and heat pump system in 2024 to keep the house perfectly climatized in summer and winter. The architects did a fabulous job creating a space full of light, warmth and soul. We love living here and we love sharing our home with out-of-town guests when we ourselves head out of town.

Please note that the house comes with 2 friendly cats except for the month of August.

Why they chose this property

We adore our area—it is close to everything, and family-friendly with loads of history. A short walk or ride (Bixi.com) to the popular Atwater farmers market, the Lachine Canal, La Maison St-Gabriel, restaurant row on rue Notre-Dame.

What makes this property unique

Our house is over 175 years old and was a popular corner store that sold candy in the mid-1900s. The architect made it into a warm, inviting, sun-filled space that we have filled with art and books. Our garden is peaceful and private.
