About this property

Peaceful ranch retreat

Cozy ranch retreat, nestled in the heart of the green mountains on a gently sloping meadow overlooking a lovely pond. Peaceful and secluded. Watch the seasons and leaves change as you sit by the large bay window at the kitchen table. Relax after a day of hiking, biking or skiing/snowboarding or just sit and enjoy the fresh Vermont air on the covered deck with your morning tea or coffee. Next to the home enjoy a picnic pavilion with large fire pit.
House is 5 min from Weston Priory or Belmont.

The space
Amenities include wifi, console piano, large parking area, books and movies, outdoor grill, roomy, well supplied kitchen, mudroom entry with half bath, washer and dryer, comfortable furniture. The queen bedroom has its own bathroom and leads out to a living room. The other two bedrooms share a full bath and a common area. The dining room is central with beautiful views of the pond and hillside. This is a no frills home, that is very open and inviting.

Guest access
Please note that 4WD or AWD in highly recommended during the winter season in this part of Vermont.
There is a trail across the meadow that has a private access to the VAST Snowmobile Trail. This trail is great for hiking or snowshoeing.

Other things to note
There is no house phone. You will be able to connect via Wi-Fi to cell service through your smart phone. Make sure your phone is set up for Wi-Fi calling in your phone settings. Also, please note that there are a few good sized hills to drive up to get to this home. During the winter season we strongly suggest AWD or 4WD vehicles.

Okemo ski trip

Very nice property and very good owner a little away from Okemo or skiing, which was our destination. Probably 10 miles. Does require four-wheel-drive when conditions get snowy this was the case with us as we got probably a foot of snow during our stay there they’re very good about getting the gravel road down from the driveway cleared. this is probably a distance of maybe 2 miles at most. As most Vermont gravel road there’s plenty of traction probably better than paved roads. would definitely stay again. House was fully equipped spices so there’s very little you need to bring.
