The perfect lake house!

Everything was perfect from start to finish. Easy check in. Perfectly clean and well decorated. Good layout and amentities. Nice sandy beach with dock. Great firepit looking out onto the lake. Everything about the stay was perfect. Would highly recommend.

Nice Lake House

My husband and I stayed with our adult daughter who lives in Waterford, MI. We own a lake house in Florida and because our daughter misses it, we decided to rent a lake house for our vacation visit to see her. The location was great; close to all the places our daughter wanted to take us. The house was well appointed with bedding, blankets, towels, kitchen items. It was nice to have a garage as well. We enjoyed the fire pit many times during our visit. We just wish the neighbor with the yappy dog would take better care of it and not keep it outside barking away during the evenings when we were trying to enjoy the serene setting. The resident swan was a nice surprise and not a nuisance at all. We enjoyed waiting for her to peacefully glide by morning and evenings. The home was very clean and ready for our visit. It was plenty large for the three of us. The living area was strange but large and could have accommodated more seating choices for larger guests. My bad, I thought there was a fireplace. Well there is, only you can’t use it. It would have been nice to use as most of our days and nights were very cold for these Florida guests. There were three photos of the fireplace so I assumed it was operational. It was not. These photos should be removed from the listing or state in the copy that the fireplace is not to be used. Craig was great. Very communicative.

Beautiful lakefront property

Modern, clean home with everything we needed for a great stay in Michigan. Craig and neighbor Jim very accommodating and helpful. Good fishing off the dock. Overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

Peaceful and spacious, with a lovely sandy beach and lake

The lake home is recently built, new appliances and fixtures, spacious, and light-filled. Very clean! Great views of the lake, and house is comfortably close to the lake, with a small but very nice sandy beach that leads directly into the lake - perfect for toddlers and their parents. Peaceful and quiet, as it is on a dead-end road.

Best VRBO ever!

Hands down the best VRBO experience. Communication was incredibly quick and responsive. The house is SPOTLESS. This is incredibly important aspect for my family. Kitchen has everything you need. There is not one thing I could change or suggest. Jim next door is so helpful as well. We have 3 teen daughters and the extra full bathrooms upstairs was a live saver. We will 100% be booking again next year. A true 5 star property.

Exactly what we wanted

This was exactly what we wanted. It was a quite place to relax, eat, and enjoy the lake. Craig made the process dead simple and was very responsive. The thing I noticed the most, out of all the house rentals I have ever done, is that the property was well stocked with commodities an linens. There was plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, soap, trash bags, and towels. We bought a bunch of products to prepare for not having these basic items, but I really appreciate the small touch to making these available. It’s incredibly frustrating to try to cram trash for five people for several days into the single trash bag provided, so this was a nice change of pace to have all we needed. The place was great and the process was easy. Would definitely do it again.

Perfect Everything!

We loved this property! Very peaceful and relaxing. Our 6 and 8 year old daughters loved the cute private beach area and water. Plenty of space inside and out to relax and unwind. Great host! Highly recommend renting this property. Just not the week we want to come back, haha....

Amazing stay

It was for a work weekend and was an amazing place to come home to after a very very long day. Craig paid very close attention to details and information that made the stay above and beyond perfect. We had a fantastic week on Clear Lake. We had one minor issue with an errant smoke alarm. Craig responded quickly and neighbor Jim came to the rescue. We love this place and will stay again.

Perfectly Accommodating!

I flew my husband’s adult siblings in from out-of-state as a surprise for his 40th birthday. This house and this host were exactly what we needed! Craig was super communicative and overly accommodating for our situation. The house was so clean and bright, and ideally located for our family group. We spent most of our time in the dining room and kitchen as a group, for the most seating, just talking, snacking, and playing games. I can only imagine how much more the house could be enjoyed during the summer months on the lake also. Thank you, Craig, for the memories in your beautiful home! We highly recommend!

The best house we've stayed in yet!

Our group of friends utilizes vacation rentals several times a year for weekend getaways, this one was our favorite one yet! Even in winter, the lakefront location was beautiful and the inside of the house was even better. It was sparkling clean, well appointed and easy to navigate. There was ample off-street parking (which is unusual for lake houses) and even the garage was available for our use. The host communicated perfectly and made an ideal weekend even better. I absolutely recommend this rental, you will wish you got to live here everyday!

Was initially a skeptical about such an ideal accommodation. But this home did not disappoint! Aesthetically pleasing, comfortable furnishings. Picturesque views from almost every room. The owners have very detailed covered. We enjoyed our stay so much we luckily were able to extend our booking. We will definitely be back!

Why they chose this property


Our home is located on a quiet street between 2 of a chain of 5 lakes. You will rarely go a minute without seeing a crane, duck, goose, or swan float by. One of the best fishing spots is right off the dock on the property.
All 5 lakes allow motorized boats. You will mostly see pontoon boats. The no wake time from 9pm until 8am,
It's peaceful here. You will find the neighbors to be kind and helpful. I would consider it very safe. I lived in the home for the first few years after I built it, and I never locked the doors...even when I traveled for work.
This is a great place to go to relax and recharge
